TCC won't unlock!!
TCC won't unlock!!
Well, this started yesterday after I got home frome work. Went out, hopped on the highway no problem, got off 15mins later, got the green light at the top of the ramp, and it went down to 3rd as normal. I noticed that it seemed to 'clunk' more than normal, but didn't really get bothered by it. Also the rpms were lower than normal. Anyways, pulled into the parking lot, and teh engine is going WAY slower than normal, at this point I suspected the TCC not unlocking. To test it I stopped and sure enough it stalled. Started it back up dropped it in D and stalled again, like if you dump the cluch too hard (at all) from idle. So, I did the only thing left, reved it up and dropped it into Drive, some axle hop, spun tires and disapproving looks later i was on my way. Parked it, after stalling a couple more times (wheelhops really bad in R ). Anyway kept doing this untill I get back to my sub, at which time it acts normal, methinks: ah-ha Its Gone!
Tonight, before I even get to the highway its all locked up, stays like this until a few miles of manually shifting it (so it isn't lugging in 4th at 35mph) then without warning its all better!!
Other than the TCC, the trans shifts just fine, up down, engages hard (actually seem to be easier when I put it all the way into 1st from a stop). Very odd, and I was hoping someone knew what the cause of this is and how easy it is to fix.

I had that happen to my 200r4's in one of my Grand Nationals. We replaced the switch by dropping the pan..no biggy. Hopefully it will be that easy for you. You could probably unplug/splice the wire until you have time. good luck
