Taurus ball joints

2000 Taurus
No procedure in my Haynes manual.
I'm getting conflicting info online regarding removal procedure.
Can anyone shed some light for me?

If I remember correctly, you have to take the knuckle out of the car to do them.

Labor intensive. The following thread has some good idea's.
