Taner and Roman How did You Run at GB
Taner and Roman How did You Run at GB
I passed you going south on 21 at around 5pm,Taner was a few cars ahead of Roman going north to GB.
I was there all day at an all Pontiac thing.
If I would have known you were getting there Friday night I would have stayed a little longer.
I hope you got some decent weather.
How did you both run?

I ran ok. I wanted to spray but found some oil on a plug, so it'll have to be another day. My best ended up being a 11.25@118ish. I'm sure that Taner will reply also.

that describes it well enough, first motor pass was not good, clutch works awesome, but car was way off.so sat. morning i fire up the laptop, i check and i have a 51 dtc code, EPROM Flash, i think the computer took a dump! needless to say i wanted to >>>>>
on a better note though i want to congratulate da wife... she ran a new best for her new car, (94 Z) of 13.7 with a horrible 2.18 60' . she actually cut a 1.9x 60' earlier in the day, her first time running at the track. so she beat my previous best of 13.74, but that was before the cai, msd ign. guess i taught her well, i missed it but her last burnout was pretty damn good! time for some new nitto's... lmao!!!!!!!
and also i finally got to run my beloved 80 camaro!!!!! no trans slippage and/ or detonation, after 3 embarrasing runs where the engine experienced vapour lock i rerouted the fuel line...and voila!!!! 1.96 60' and 13.59 and again a 13.56 1/4 mile time,
the car is heavy and way lowered so i was very pleased!!!!!
i couldn't have said it better... i look forward to M7!
Sorry to hear that Roman I hope you did not hurt it,thats a bit off from your other all motor passes, maybe it was only burning on 7? Taner
Whats done with the 94Z28?
I wish my car hooked like that (1.9 60ft) what kind of tires?
Too bad about your PCM
I know how heavy those 80's are I owned one
See you at M7
Well my insurance company that I cancelled with in July finally refunded my Aug/Sept payment.
I instantly picked up the phone and called the Tire Rack for some BFG Drag Radials 275/40/17 (I have 2 chrome WS6 rims)(looking for more)
So I will have some traction, now if that TQ converter would get here!
I do not know whats taking so long!

tom,
the bfg's are great for the track, if you plan on using them at the street i would highly recommend nitto's. i have nittos on the wifes car and drags on the 80 camaro. i would never want to get caught in the rain with the bfg's on
. just my .02
the 94 has a corvette 1950rpm stall, hooker catback, and 3.73 gears, cai, msd box. i wish i could've taken it down the track, oh well next time
i am glad the wife had fun. i threatened her that if she didn't break into the 13's she wasn't coming home! lmao!!!!!
j/k!

I asked about the 555 Nitto's they don't carry them
I know the BFG's suck in the rain but I have 16" Khumos right now for every day.
I got a great deal too $149.00 us.
I am looking for 2 WS6 Rims but 2 are hard to find so I might just buy 4 new and keep the BFG's mounted on the other 2.
So when I get to M7 the 17's get bolted on out back
