Hello, the rear end does have the caliper mounts, no calipers, but I will throw you in a set of used rear rotors for... how does 15.00 for everything sound? I just want to move this stuff, and it sounds like you could use it so let me know what you think.

I am located in Algonac, about 30 minutes away from 23 mile and gratiot, unfortunatly, i no longer have the ability to transport this thing, as I recently sold my truck. I even have a spair set of brand new rear rotors if your intersted in those too.

The car starter is a Bull Dog unit, I cant remember the model # off hand, but if all goes according to planed, that should be outta here on Friday.

Thanks, let me know what you want to do.

Sunday sounds great, around what time? The rear end is from an LT1 car, but that stuff is all the same. You do know that there are no gears/carrier in the rear end right? Also, only one axle shaft is still with it. But the hardware you requested ie, the caliper brackets and rotors are there. Just making sure you are clear as to what you are picking up. It is a good deal, I am sure a trip to the junkyard will be more expensive (if someone will even part the brackets from the rear end). Are you interested in the brand new set of rotors?

Thanks, Charlie

ALL LT1 F_BODY REAR ENDS ARE NOT THE SAME!!
93 thru 95 had a single channel abs pick up on the rear housing above the ring gear area of the housing with the reluctor ring mounted on the posi unit.
96 thru 97 where dual channel abs. each axle shaft had toothed sprockets [reluctor ring] on each axle shaft and each caliper mount had the pick up sensors.

you can use the early housing in a later car by using the correct axles and calaper mounts.
You can not use a later housing in a early single channel abs car.

Sounds good Chris, I have all your goodies packaged up in my garage, awaiting Friday. This includes:

-Head unit
remote for head unit
-wireing harness for head unit
-Changer
wireing for changer to head
-(1) changer cartridge cpty=8
remote starter
-Software bundle as discussed previously.

That should be it? Let me know if I am leaving anything out.

Thanks, Charlie

Ok lets put a few facts in here to clear up the confusion.
LT1 calipers and LS1 calipers mount on the opposite side of the axle. LS1s mount on the front of the axle towards the door and LT1s mount on the rear of the axle towards the rear bumper. Or vice versa can't seem to picture it in my head right now.
Also LT1 calipers have an emergency brake function. LS1 rear brakes use a seperate small drum brake built into the rotor for the E-brake.
Both LS1 and LT1 cars come either with or without traction control. That is the determining factor in whether it has 1 rear sensor in the housing (non TCS/ASR) or 2 sensors one at each wheel (with TCS/ASR).
