There will be some install pics soon from a west side member. He's putting one on his 89 IROC 350 TPI car...should be damn cool The GMHTP article was really detailed too. Makes me want to do a StealthRam with a set of AFR210s and call it a day. Mail-order 550hp...hehe

Definatly keep us posted! I think that the HSR will be my intake of choice when I get sick of this stupid tpi set up, just when you think you have it sorted out something else pops up

Anyone have suggestions on aluminum heads that'll go with the HSR? For me, the weight savings are the biggest draw, as just about any heads are better than stock L98 heads. oh yea, easy on the wallet is my only other preference.

Sounds good, Im looking forward to seeing some pics. I think Im gonna get myself the stealth ram and slap it on some time in the summer after I already have some baseline runs for my current setup. I think well all see some serious gains with the HSR.

AFR heads NEVER seem to dissapoint from what I've seen. Both in quality and performance, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't think twice about buying a set of AFR 195's for a street based 350 I've never seen a car run bad with AFR stuff and it's almost sad to see engine combinations with Edelbrock RPM(or some other generic head) heads that runs mid 13's or worse...ya know? Call AFR and ask what works, they'll set ya up. Just send them the check hehe later man

Thanks for the info!! Much appreciated, hopefully will have the money sooner than later .

BTW, ask Matt about what he talked about last night, very cool stuff that Brady explained Sunday.

The heads that come on a ZZ4 crate engine are GM Aluminum L98 heads(Same that came on TPI Corvettes). The Alum. L98 head is 80's technology really and comparing it to a set of AFR 195's is a joke. Swapping these heads on a ZZ4 would create a huge increase in power all over the powerband. I'd find the specs on both heads and put them side by side and you'll see the difference. Put it this way...A ZZ4 makes 355 hp, right? A "typical" AFR 195 headed SBC with a ZZ4 cam, same intake, headers, etc would probably make WELL over 400 HP and equal or more amonts of torque They easily have 500HP potential out of the box.

That manifold looks very promising. With my LT1 heads all ready converted to that intakes bolt patten I could pull off the single plane holley manifold I currently run, throw on the lower base section of the stelth ram then machine off the top of the upper plemum and make a "Dual 4bbl" top plate and tig her back together...
..pick up another 1100cfm tb...
...ummmmmmmmm
me been thinking about tinkerinng with a stelth also

Heck I get this SFI accel box I have installed...
And throw on a pair of unreleased as of yet "SHHHHHH" new LT1 215cc heads from a well know world wide manufacture of trick racing heads...

...ohboy
The lill 355 that could!
