Talking Running @ Cayuga on Sunday (July 25th)

Hey, just thought I'd let you guys know, for anyone who's interested, myself and a bunch of guys from the 'Shwa area, are going to Cayuga for some test 'n tune on Sunday morning. My Dad and I will both be running, as well as a couple of my friends (LT1 Z28, LT1 T/A, '78 Z28) just to name a couple.

I'd love to see some of the guys from the board out there. I'd really hate to see any 9-second cars though!

.....yeah right! I'd love to see some of the local 9-second cars running!

Well, just passing the word along.

Ah crap, I gotta work on Friday ('til ~7pm ). I would go to St. Thomas, but it's like a ~3 hour drive! I can't exactly leave work @ 7 and be there by 7?!??

Last call! We're leaving the 'Shwa in about ~6 hours!!

..........nevermind! Too late! You guys missed a good show! Holy crap was it busy, but still lots of fun. There were 5 of us that convoyed down together:
- my '02 Z28
- '97 Z28
- '95 Z28
- '96 T/A
- my dad towing the '73 Camaro

My car ran a new best of 13.060 @ 106.49, 1.920 60' time, and my Dad's car (with me driving!) ran 12.795 @ 109.72, 2.159 60' . We're happy.

Hey, yeah it was good meeting you too.

Well, maybe my car fell just short of hitting 12's (a whopping .070 seconds!!! ) but at least my last run of the day was a 12-second run in my Dad's car . Man, I was going crazy when I picked up that timeslip!! I was dancing in the car the whole way back the return lane!! See, until I jumped in the car, my Dad couldn't get it under 13.20. AND, the guy I ran against was a friend of our's who called us out to race with his '78 Z28. Both him and my Dad were expecting 12's out of both cars, but neither one hit it (the '78 ran 13.150) so at least I was able to run the '73 like it was meant to, and get the 12!

BTW, your car runs damn strong! It always gets my attention when any 4th-gen is running 12's. Were you running in the brackets? I saw you made 2 nearly identical 12.7 passes, so it seems you can run consistant?

Ya I made it to the 4th round and redlit and on that pass I ran a 12.672 on my 12.67 dial It just figures

My worst pass of the day was 12.72 and the best was 12.67 of the 12 passes I made

Damn, that sucks.

Say, is there some sort of cash prize for winning the brackets? None of us were really sure, but figured there must be some type of prize for winning? I'm thinking that at some point I should try bracket racing (as long as I could get my reaction times consistant) 'cause my car always runs really consistantly.
