Whenever i idle after driving my 97 z28for i would say 10 mins or more, there is a rattling coming from the center of the car seeming like right at the trans. I changed the trans mount and it still does it. I don't think its the heatshield, What are your guy's opinions??? Please help

 

number one, my car does the same thing. mine is the park brake lever button. I can grab the button and it stops. try that. if its not that, then try the cat. conv.. give it a good hit w/some blunt object. see if it rattles. like maybe a hammer handle or something like that.

good luck, those probs can be awfully annoying.

mine was the new hooker rattling on the tunnel brace. i just dropped the bolts and put three washers in and rewbolt it up......just like new now

 

heat shield above the pass side cat? Mine used to rattle sometimes. Then I took it off. It stopped after that

 

You took off the upper heat shield??? UMMM i think you might want to put something on there to stop the heat, from what i've heard, it could catch the catch the car on fire

I'll try the brace and brake cable. Though i do have borla i don't know if thats it. any more ideas please feel free to ask. If those ideas don't work i'll be back.
