Random Tech TA. Anyone using this?
Looking for a good TA that will work along with my duals. Getting rear end soon, & going to upgrade at that point. Lets hear some suggestions.

Harold,
Tom Bryne runs the Random Tech TA in his Z-28 Show and Go Car. It ran a 10.89 at 130 mph last year pushing about 600 Hp and 540 Ft/lbs with a Vortech Super Charger. The plan calls for a 409 CI this year and the ATI F1 Super Charger. There is no infomation about changes in the TA yet.
I know BMR has expressed concerns about the risks to the Tranny tailshaft mount when you push the stock designs into the 10s and faster. That's one of the reasons the big movers like Roman, Taner, and others run the BMR X-Treme TA. Now that being said, Jeff Stevens is one of the featured F-bodies on the BMR sit with a super charge 383 LT-1 that's run a 9.94 @ 139mph and a 1.40 60 ft using BMR's Chrom moly TA that uses the stock mount position.
You might want to check with Prostock John to see what he's up to. I think he was looking at a new Dual Setup which might have lead to some investigations for a new TA with his ARE 422.
Rick
