Question Quote from ramchargers

i have a quote from ram chargers for
1) ceramic coated hooker long tubes with y-pipe=559.00=tax and handling

2)felpro gaskets=18.00

3)locking header bolts=38.95

my question is - a decent deal?

and how is the plug access with these headers and ground clearance? also who has these and how do they sound with flowmaster exhaust? also who to tune the pcm when installs complete? alright guys looking for some input a.s.a.p. as the money is burning a hole in my pocket as i type this. Should i look elseware and who to? that has maybe a better deal?

Plug-access is better than with any other headers. It's pretty good. I can change mine out in 15-20 minutes.

The pricing is about what you'd pay anywhere. There's not a huge margin on those headers. Although it certainly doesn't hurt to check around for better pricing(group purchases, etc.)

Ground clearance is reduced, bot it's not that bad. Just don't take speed-bumps at 20MPH and you'll be OK.

Long-tubes and flowmasters are gonna be loud and rumbley.

Livernois Motorsports can do the tune for you. They're right in Dearborn Heights too. 313-561-5500 Call and ask for Greg, and tell him I sent you.

I think coated hooker longtubes for a LS1 is 629 for just the headers... If i can get a set of hooker LT's w/ a y pipe for 560... id **** myself. I'm gunna run down to livernois motorsports to get my car dynoed when im done with my mods "Evil Shananagins"

Yeah thats a really good price for LTs and y-pipe. My LTs and y-pipe combined were $700 or so.

That seems like a really good price on the headers and y-pipe.

I got coated LT's and a catless Y for my LS1 for $350, so I dunno, seems high to me.

Oh, that's why they were so cheap.

Personally, I'd rather pay $600+ for Hookers than $350 for Pacesetters. But that's JMHO.

Suit yourself, I gained 60rwhp by adding them, I think they do a damn fine job and they look exactly like hookers; I'd rather pay 1/2 the price for headers that do the same damn thing...

60 rwhp with the only change being longtube headers.

I personally wouldn't buy **** from Scamchargers. They made me wait one too many times. 15-20 minutes to pay for something becomes a problem when you can just go to www.summitracing.com or www.jegs.com and buy something and have it at your door in a day or two for the same price. Too bad Ramchargers has the high performance business cornered in our area It would be nice for them to have some competition....
