Is anyone going thinking of doing a convoy? I'd like to go, maybe thursday night or friday early? I'm really not sure how far it is, time wise.

I'd like to go. I'll be talking it over with the wife to see if I can get the few days needed to pull it off. If so, I might even be able to bring along the camper, if there's a campsite near.

Thumbs up Going camping!

Yeah! I got the official permission to go! Wa hoo!!

So here's my details: There is a state park only 15 miles from the motorsports park, with water & electricity, and warm showers. They currently have NO reservations for the park for that weekend, so it's wide open!

I want to see who would like to head down with me to share costs and gas money. I'll bring my 2002 Jayco tent camper (with hot & cold running water) if you help pay for the campsite, food & gasoline.

The cost is $18 a night plus $5 registration fee, and $1 a night for any extra people. I'll be staying Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, and coming back on Sunday. So, estimated costs are as follows:

Campsite for three nights, assuming 4 persons: $65
Gas, for 1500 miles of driving: $175

Food: You provide your own. I do have a small fridge and a stove in the camper, so we'll be able to do our own cooking if we want.

Total cost for trip there & back, and lodging, $60 per person, for three nights. You pay your own costs for food, beer, motorsports tickets, etcetera.

Who wants in??

I can take four in the popup, plus if anyone extra wants to come along, I can also bring along a tent. No smoking in the camper or tent, please.

ws6transam,count me in for one of those places.

I booked my vacation that week so I don't need to be back until Tuesday May4th.

I was thinking of driving down myself, but your plan sounds cool.

Just post a meeting time and place.

BTW I can bring a tent as well.
