Possibly get some magnetic covers that match your paint?? Pam cooking oil isn't going to protect ANY paint from rocks being thrown at 60 MPH. Of course it helps with cleanup though.

Thumbs up

Years ago we used to use a clear bag and tape. If you can get a large sheet of clear tape would work good. Kind of like the shipping tape used on new cars. Pam or baby oil will keep the rubber from sticking to the paint.

well, i didn't have any of those remedies around the house.........tried all autopart stores looking for the clear "tape" type protectant and no one carried it?

picked up some burnout guard from ramchargers and amazingly there is hardly any rubber at all on the car.....as to how it cleans up i'll let you know.

thought about the dealership idea, didn't have any direct connections and i didn't feel like answering to some salesman as to why i was taking it...
