I need a car towed from st claire shores to romulus/belleville.. its about a 45 min drive give or take...

My regal wont run and i will have no transportation unless i pull my TA with 315 nittos out of the garage to try and drive in the snow...

I was driving the car all day, she ran fine then all of a sudden when you try and start it.. itl run then die a few 1-3 seconds later..

no SES, no blown fuses, no unplugged connections..

sigh

 

any of you guys with trailors..ever trailor down to florida? My cousin needs his Motorcycle trailed up and cant affored the 500$ to ship it. Hed be will to pay couple hundred. If any of you guys are headed that way..PLEASE let me know.

Dave I was the manager at a Buick service dept. If you can't find whats wrong let me know and I will see if there is anything I can do to help. I know one of the best driveability tech in the nation for Buick. He was in the national comp several times and placed in the top 3 every time. Sorry to hear you are having trouble bud.

 

Dave - did it stop running again? I thought everything was cool when you got it running at at the Ice Arena.

dave, what preceeded the problem with it running? did you have to jump start it or anything? if so, then it may have lost the idle memory; and will keep stalling till the computer relearns. there is a proceedure to fix this, and I can find out what it is. I just dont remember it exactly.

ps. just thought about it. the alternators in these cars are notorious for taking a crap. we get lots of them in cars with 3800 series motors that are bad. dont always show a battery light, or charging system problem either. cheapes place around to have a charging system test done is sears. 10 bucks.

lemme know what the problem is, and if you need any parts; I may be able to save you some money.

there was nothing wrong with the car before this happened... just started out of nowhere
