Paging RedIrocZ-28 for a smack down

Brad,

I heard a bad rummor that your not comming to M7..

Dude I've been waiting to race you all Year.

I can't beat up on Erics car anymore its like kicking puppies.

You got to come!

Tell your buddie that a wedding at a drag strip can be very romantic.

Our on the other hand is this a well crafted story to avoid the smack down I'm going to lay on you?

I guess I'll have to take a by run without you.

Thumbs down

Typical LS1 guy picking on a lil old L98..

You guys think you are on top of the world... Anybody can go out and drop some paper and own a fast car, but when you take an older car that went high 14's stock, put a little blood, sweat, and money into it and make it a little faster- thats called progress. Anyone can drop $20k and go 12's...

Tell you what... put me on the list of grudge races for next year. I got a little something going on thats sure to embarass that LS1
Then again you too could have some plans and next year could be a whole different story. But if you want to pick on a low 13- high 12 second 3rd gen I got something brewing that will make you think twice

Oh, and if I'm out of your league next year, I know another certain 3rd gen that will be running in the single digits next year that would be more than happy to take your $.

I agree about picking on a older car but read the back post he started it. And its all in fun. And I believe he is far from stock.

I addition I have owned and worked on
1973 Firebird
1975 Camaro
1982 Trans Am
1989 Firebird Formula
1994 Firebird Formula
2000 Trans Am

Every mod done was done on my cold garage floor with my own little hands..

And I'll race anyone anytime and win or lose I'll do it with a smile.

Talking

Boy did this get ugly fast.

Here is something to lighten the conversation.

Ask Larry about a beat up old little Silver Omni that beat his 94 Formula Boy that car was fun!! $800 four door Omni faster then a red Formula What a blast!

See you at M7 unless my wife decides to deliver our first child early.

Yes I know I know.... I promised that I would be there and I really hate to break my promise, But, What are ya gonna do when a good old friend asks you to be IN the wedding 2 weeks ahead of the scheduled date of the wedding. I was kinda speechless at that but then I found out it was ON THE M7 Date! I was bummed.... I really am.

On the other hand my friend Brad who owns a Grand National won't be attending with his car. I might just have to let him take my car. He has never raced before though so he probably won't be able to run the times I can in my car. We'll see what happens I guess. Letting your buddy take your car and thrash on it is a bit scarey.

Just know that I had every intention of going. I was so close to buying a set of Nitto's on Salad shooters JUST for the event. I wanted to cut a 13.5 or so. I was soooo close to 13.6 when I raced TrouserSnake's car

Sorry if I came off s trying to start a flame. It just burns my azz when 4th gen guys pick on us 3rd gen guys that have a decade older technology. Yes we can run fast, but it takes more money and effort than it would to plunk down 20 grand on a new LS1 car and do a few little free mods to get in the 12's.

After all its all in good fun... and now that I've been reminded it does seem that Brad started it

Oh Yes, I well remember the smack around I got from the Omni. LOL

Well since were not racing Brad I guess I can tell you about the Yank Torque Converter . This winter I hope to do a cam. So in the spring I really want a low 12 or maybe high 11.

I don't think a LS1 will run 12's with a few free mods mid 13's but not 12. Has anyone got one too?

Mike, Chill brotha! Ripper and I always have this trash talking session before events Its all in good fun, but what we say borders on somthing that may sound like bullying to anyone else but he and I. Its ok, Mike, we are just having a little good natured trash talking.

Larry, I hope all goes well with the cam and convertor install. I know I had it quite a bit easier than you will since I had the motor out of the car. Just remember to lock-tite the bolts that hold the convertor to the flexplate. Mine came loose almost lost the convertor and flexplate.

With the advent of my new job working for City Wide Cellular, I should be making a butt load of $$$. As long as I can sell a lot of phones and Satellite dishes, I should be able to FINALLY complete my original motor concept. I want to get the AFR heads and Stealth Ram intake. I simply want a good strong street car that might be able to click off a low 13 or perhaps a high 12.9x at the track. The way I see it, I run 13.7 right now with only cam headers, convertor, pistons, gears, shift kit, and free mods. With New heads and Intake setup I will surely shave off at very least .5 I would hope.

Good luck there at M7 fellas.... I only wish I could be there.
