Paging IrocSS85

How's it going........ Sorry I haven't got back to you things have been crazy here.

I was sorry to hear you didn't have much luck at Stanton. I was going to go but was affraid of braking down so far from home. Especially since I just had the cam, heads and computer done just before that. Still, you got a new best out of the car and that counts for something.

I like the car with the new setup and am pretty happy with the way it runs. I think that it needs to be leaned out a little but I'd rather be safe then sorry. New best of 12.2 @ 110mph with a bad 1.75 60" time. I think the car can go 11's if I can get the car to hook a little better. I am looking at getting some ET Streets for next year. I am also taking the car in for Lower control arms, weld in sub frame connectors and a ported throttle body. I hear the lower control arms should help the 60' times a little. In the spring I'm looking at a 150 shot of NOS or maybe a supercharger? That should get me some real good times. I'll probably do the NOS because the price is so much cheeper. I was looking to sell some ad space on the car and see if I could come up with the supercharger money. I guess time will tell on that.

I was wondering if you got yyour car fixed? I'm going to try to make next Wednesday at Milan for the last time of the season. Do you want to come for some fun?

Let me know.

Re: Paging IrocSS85

yo Bill. good to hear from ya. yeah, that car of yours is awesome. I agree w/better 60's it might hit 11's. but a 1.72 is a pretty good 60 for a car that traps at 110mph. I wish I could afford a LS1 car. you gonna let me try those ET streets when you get them? I almost bought those instead of the DR's but I figured since I drive mine soo much that I should stick with the radials. I figured it out that it got 13MPG on the way out to M7. which I think is pretty good siince I didnt have the TCC hooked up yet. I now have it hooked up and it drops rpm by 250 when I turn it on. havent figured out how good its doin now. I know it would have done 12.5's that day w/how good the track was. oh well. I did fix itthe next day. it took about 10 fricken min.s to fix it at my bud.s house w/the right tools. been driving it ever since exc. for about 3 days.
I heard that milan is closed after this weekend? if not maybe I'll go. if I break something, I'll pull it back to your house w/a tow strap I really want tto see how she'd do in the cool air. but then again, I bet traction will be really bad.
so how much did they charge you for the head/cam package? you can email it to me if you prefer to. just curious.
did I tell you about the procharger I installed on a friends 99formula? it made 484 rear wheel horsepower w/a cam and some boltons and 9 lb pulley. Im sure your car would make over 500 RWHP w/those heads. so if you do get a SC then Id recommend the D1SC procharger. I can install it for you for $375. the nitrous would work also, but I dont like the fact of having to refill the tank often. the cool thing about the n20 kit is they are alot cheaper to buy and when your ready for the SC, then you can sell it easy and get most of your money back. I can install that for you too if you like.
