Open Trailer Auto Transport

Anyone have any recommendations for companies to use to ship a car to Colorado? Price is a concern as well as punctuality.

Re: Open Trailer Auto Transport

you want it cheap and fast with gas prices the way they are.... at least they have gone down some for you. the only ones i know of are enclosed specialty haulers and it's usually around $1,000+ one way.

time for a road trip..

Re: Open Trailer Auto Transport

Yeah, I know. Those are the only one's I know of as well.

Someone is assuming the lease on a blazer we have, and he just wants them to deliver it when they say they will instead of quoting 5 days and taking 3 weeks. Don't need anything special, and I really don't know how much the guy is looking to spend. He just asked if I had any suggestions and I figured I'd help him out a little if I can. Already considered a road trip, but I'm not paying for it in the end so a 30 hours of driving is much less attractive.

yeah that's a tough one... if it was only a state or so i'd try to help you out myself but then i suppose you'd just drive it.

I'd shoot a pm to TAJack. He is pretty reasonable on his hauling. Enclosed trailer too.

I'm fast but not cheap. If its just a daily driver, you can get open hauling (45 to 60 cents per loaded mile) for about half the cost of enclosed. Look in Hemmings Motor News under services offered for auto transporters. 2 to 3 weeks is a common waiting period.

If you take a weekend and just drive it there and fly back it would probably be less than $500. I doubt very much you will find a transport for less than $700.

Re: Open Trailer Auto Transport

The guy is looking to spend around $800 and it doesn't need to be enclosed. He just wants the car there in a timely fashion, not 3 weeks. He's thinking about flying out and driving it back, which is fine if he wants to. He is responsible for getting/shipping the vehicle, not me, so I'm certainly not driving out there with it. 15 hours my ***, lol.

Re: Open Trailer Auto Transport

Pm me your #.

I just got laid off & will now be looking for work. I have an open trailer, and I deliver cars for the big 3, so hauling 1 is not going to be a problem.
