M7 times

I ran 2 tenths better than the last time I was at Mid-Mich in the heat, but still 2 tenths slower than April event at St Thomas. I didnt spray because they kept warning people on the PA system not to get into the 11s without a roll bar or you were done for the day.

yeah, new times since I had never run the car before. Disappointing too.
I ran 14.1 all stock, then got it down to 13.95 switching to the lid and K&N filter.
Thought these LS1 cars would be faster than that.
Guess its time to swap out those highway gears, do some free mods, etc.

I took the 96 WS6 Formula. Made some 13.5 and 13.6 passes. I was happy for 98% stock car. Just a cat back, 373 gears ,K&N filter and frame ties. Not bad for a LT1 A4 car. Smoked a LS1 in the first round of brackets. Then red lighted second round on a car that should have been a walk. Just goes to show the fastest car doesn't allways win. Anyway had a great time just like all the years in the past.

Arrow I was one of the BAD PEOPLE!

Yeah I bested EVERY previous Best time with a 50 shot!

Quick example without a time slip in my hand:

1) 1.55 sixty foot time
2) 118.XX Q-Mile MPH
3) 92.XX 8th mile MPH
4) Front tires off of the ground and carried for 3-4 feet.
5) 11.61

I was one more RPM module away from an 11.5X when I heard going under 12.00 without a rollbar was a no-no!

Well yesterday ended up being a figure out the slicks day. I had some 1.58x 60's with only bring her up to 1,500 rpms. So I guess that's reasonable on a stock TA, shocks & springs.

I'll blame my lack of a solid 11's on the announcer. That's my story and I'm sticking too it.

My most impressive PB is being tow for two M evenets coasting into the Amoco station in Stanton on Fumes.

I didn't catch up to meet you Hink but I think I've got two of your runs on video. I'll let you know when I get a chance to screen them.

Smile Had fun

M7 was a good tuning session for me since the nmca race 4 weeks ago with a un proven combo with bugs.

So with some new tuning for M7 and same power level on the kit {#1 @ 175 shot} as earlier at nmca race and right off the trailer it went .65 quicker and gained 10 mph overall for a 10.99 @ 127.8 with a lazy 1.6 60'.

Now this is a best for me with a 175 shot

..Next pass I brought the nitrous in a little sooner with a 2 tenths of a second delay and the old Hot rod Hawk made me smile
10.75 @ 125 with a 1.48 60"
Dam was that ride fun..
..my crew cheif for the day, Tom Joysey said she hung the tires nice

the rest of the day I had three more runs with 1.47 60 foots but I had my hand resting on the shifter each time and on the launch it was leaving so hard I was pulling the shifter from 2nd back into first with out relizing it..
..thats why the car was banging the limiter, ya gotta shift these things right??? HAHAHAHAHAH
..note to self "get a real shifter" and ditch the stocker.
I confirmed this looking back at the data logs of the runs.

Great meeting Rebecca, your car is sweet girl annd I also met Chad Beebe Finely..
...Chad it was a pleasure sir, I'm sure we'll cross paths on the "Lists".

Later all.
Jeff

Talking

I ran 13.59 @ 100.xx. My mph was way off all day long and I don't know why. My previous best was a 13.72 @ 103.09. I still don't know where I'm losing my power. We'll see what happens when I tear into it again today!

Your mph was low all day because of the 20 mph head wind. It hurts everybody but it really affects us low hp guys. My best for the day was a 12.924 @ 103.43 mph w/ 1.711 60 ft. Just last week I was pulling 105.1 mph consistently at Milan. Yesterday most of my runs only pulled 102.5 mph. The headwind made a huge impact. The only thing that kept me in the 12's were my 1.68-1.71 60 ft times

My overall best run for the day was:

60' 1.814
1/8 8.082
MPH 88.33
1/4 12.484
MPH 111.56

My best 60' for the day was 1.795

I did find out that the 28" slicks are too big for my car as I was just shifting into 4th right before the traps. One run I actually ran 3rd gear all the way out and hit the rev limiter right as I crossed the line.
