new z28 driver
Hey michiganders, I am a proud owner of a 1994 6 speed z28 camaro. I have worked alot of hours to pay for it. It cost me only 4100, but it has 160,000 miles. I am 16 years old and have been a chevy man my entire life. Is there any camaro or f-body clubs around dearborn Hts. that i can join. And anyone who has installed a cam kit (cam, lifters, rockers, ect.), was it hard to do it yourself? puttin an xe 230/236 cam in my caI am thinkin about r with ported heads, then go SVT stang huntin.

I dont know much about the clubs around our town but they're there. I helped a little with my friend's heads/cam/intake swap (93 GT 5.0) and it wasnt hard at all. LT1s wont be much more difficult but just a little with the cramped engine bay. Plan a weekend for it and do the cam and heads. Just take your time and it will be a breeze. Congrats on the Z.
Congrats on the purchase of your Camaro! I'm sure you'll have fun.
As for local clubs, try www.motownmuscle.com ! It's not an F-body only club, but there are a lot of good people over there. The club actually started with a group of us from this very CZ28.com Michigan board.
