New Website and Message Board Up and Running

http://www.michiganspeed.com

Quentin and I have been working for the last week on getting this thing off the ground. Stop by, check out the website, regsiter on the message boards and leave some feedback.

Michiganspeed.com - The newest performance car club in Michigan. Nevermind the Grand Am on the homepage.

Not to talk **** about the site or Chris's car(I actually like Grand Am's), but why in the hell would you put a picture of a Grand Am under the line" Because going slow is for pussies"? It screams dumb ricer board to me.

Honest opinion?
Site looks good, navigates easily.
Merchandise is all overpriced. I wouldn't buy any of it at the current pricing.

Sorry you asked?

Two answers for ya Eric. First is obvious, Chris is extrememly proud of his new car, and it is pretty cool when you get to see it. Second is a broad interpetation of the meaning of performance. It does have a 3.4, and it does have aftermarket turbos, SC's, and various other products available for it. Chris intends on doing some of those things. Personally I perfer it to a Honda with a wing and fart can. But hey, dont like it, I respect that. So send us a picture of your car. Register as a member, and we will make your car the car of the month. Fair enough Thanks for the input, thats what we need to make it useful to everyone.

Not at all Sorry. Thank you for the honest answer Al. Thats what we want. The only income for the club is off those products right now. But I can also agree with you. I will be working on the prices today, but please realize there is only so much I can do. We have to pay a certian cost for the products, and we do need to pay for the server space somehow over the course of a year. But, I dont want to deprive you of the chance to wear a cool shirt like I already ordered. Thanks for the input Al.

Fair enough. I just think you are going to give people the idea that its a sport compact club or something when they visit the site.

As far as using my car, it's probably slower than the G.A.

Hey Mike :finger (we need that smiley on here )

Just checked out the store... didn't think the prices were too bad.

I went ahead and picked up a T shirt ($15) and a license plate frame ($11)

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

I'm thinking about buying the thong, BBQ apron, and red ski cap. If you need someone to model those items let me know.

From a graphic designer's point of view...

The site/club has a lot of potential and you're headed in the right direction. I'm sure it could become huge if you guys keep at it. I think you need a better logo and site design though. At first glance it gives the impression of "hi we're a tiny car club and we don't really do anything".... I know thats not the message you want to convey and by just sprucing up the site and adding content you could make the club seem huge without it really being huge (sorry if that doesn't make sense... I'm almost confusing myself). Let me know if you want any assistance with the design aspect... that's what I do best and I've got a ****load of free time on my hands now that I'm done with school. I'd love to be part of something like this.

The gear is cool... cafepress rocks, even though their prices are a little high. Their products are top notch though.

Kind off topic and maybe you're not interested but my boyfriend runs Fastlane signs and graphics here in SE MI... it would be a good idea to get some logos printed out on vinyl to pass out at car shows, and I'm sure he could hook you up.

edit: it's convertible, not Convetable (members page)

I don't think I'm ready to see myself in one but I would also be wearing the BBQ apron and ski hat.
