Post new to board have ?'s

Hello !!! I am new to this board because I just bought my first Z-28. It is a 1997 30th anniversary editon white with orange stripes, t-tops, leather seats, 25,000 miles.I live in Berkley so I will be on Woodward a lot. I hope I get a chance to meet some of you. I do have 2 questions. First is the last owner powerwashed the car so the strippes are in really bad shape . Anyone know of a great place I can take it to get new stripes put on ? Second , can someone tell me what the air intake looks like in a 1997. I think I have a aftermarket air intake on and would like to have the original.

Thanks,
Sean

Check out the phone book for Collision or paint shops in ur area. Have to be some good ones down there. Welcome to the board. As for ur intake, does it have some K&N's or have any labels on it?

I believe you to be the first person that I have ever heard of that wants to make their car SLOWER.

I also find it odd. It would be one thing if it was a 1967 model, but since its a 97, its not exactly a collectors item yet. I guess I could understand wanting to have to origional air box on the side, for later restoration, but switching it now would be pointless, and for the most part stupid.

Thanks for the reply's . I don't want to replace the air intake but would to like to have the original one for down the road. I also don't want to paint the stickers on . I want it to be original. I have been driving the Z-28 for a week and love it !!!!!!

Thanks Again
