Need help... whats this worth?

I met a guy today that has a 1992 Z28, 305 TPI, 5 speed with 1000 ORIGINAL MILES!! He wants me to sell it for him on Ebay or something and I have a chance to make some money.

The car is red, not sure if t-tops or not. I believe it has anniversary stripes too. I looked it up on www.nadaguides.com and it said $17.500 mint, not taking into account the mileage. I think its worth around $30-$35,000. What do u think?

He should be able to pull 15,000 - 17,000 out of it if it is truly in factory shape. If not, the original 1,000 miles doesn't mean much. There is no way in the world you can get $30,000 out of it. Also, how was the car stored. If it sat indoors all this time then most things under the body and hood should be clean, if it was stored outdoors with a cover there will be a lot of surface rust from condensation on your uncoated steel parts. Put it on ebay and see what the actual interest is out there for a car like this.

What the fluck is the point of a 92 Camaro with 1000 miles?

I'd say it's worth whatever someone's willing to pay.

There was a guy on ebay selling a "brand new" 87 Mustang GT. Had like a hundred miles on it or something and had been in storage. The bidding never went above like $8000 as I recall.

I was thinking 10 or 12k, but it might take a while to find someone who wanted it.

The guy is about 65-70 years old and drives a Ferrari Testarossa so he really doesn't have any use for the Z. I met him at Woody's yesterday and after talking with him for a long time he said this car is brand new. Its been in temp controlled storage since it was new.

I'm going to look at it one day this week. I'll post pics/info then its going on Ebay. I think i'm also gonna try and get ahold of Chris Ja's friend at GM Tech ctr. and see if GM possibly wants to buy it.

Thanks for the input.

If he wants to trade it for an 1989 GTA I think I'd be willing to deal.
