I bought a set of chrome 10 spoke ss wheels from ebay. The description said they had some peeling and pits. I asked for pictures and the seller said that his camera couldn't pick up the iperfections. Then he told me I wouldn't be dissapointed. Well I kinda am. 1 of the 4 wheels has peeling on the face that is about the size of a half dollar. The rest just have the normal pitting in some of the corners. They all have pretty good amounts of peeling on the backside of the wheels, but that is to be expected I would think. Can the face of the one wheel be repaired? Or would it have to be stripped and rechromed? What about just getting the wheels all resurfaced and polished instead of chromed? Recomend me a shop in the metro detroit area. Thanks.

 

Try Detroit Wheel in Madison Hgts. That or get them stripped and powdercoated.

 

I'll give them a try. I checked out their website but didn't find any info on pricing. Any ideas how much it would cost to have them rechromed?
