Re: Need a 700R4 Tranny
I have one that was built to the tilt, paid 2800 plus 600 for the art carr converter. 700 for the tran and 300 for the converter. nonlockup. It's just sitting in the garage, I use 4l60e's now.

I'll sell you the trans in my camaro now for $400. its a great trans for a lightly built car. or stock car. but you'll have to wait a week or two while I am fixing my caprice. forced to daily drive my camaro in the meantime. I live in waterford if you want to shoot over and go for a spin in it. the conv. thats in it is supposed to be spoken for, but I have a similar one that I can include for $75.
let me know.

Re: Need a 700R4 Tranny
ohhh, screw fuddle. they lost me as a customer. thought I told you bout that? they took my order, and promised to get the conv. out the next day, or the following business day at the latest. then, all of a sudden I cant get ahold of anyone there, no emails, no calls back, after a few days of that there voicemail was full, and I couldnt leave a message so I canceled my bank card and ordered a new card. then I ordered an edge 10" 3800rpm convertor. got the new trans/conv. bolted in, but need to install all the other stuff still. I went to the michigan game today so I havent had much time. Im hoping to get it finished by tomorrow though. gotta take out my a/c system, replace the powersteering press. line, and early this week gotta redo the batt. relocation setup and incorporate a cutoff switch so I can go to the track w/o worry of not passing tech. now that the car should be able to break 11's, it may get a little more attention. the tech always comments about that, but luckily they havent made me leave. plus the cable I have in there is too thin (crappy taylor kit from summit uses 2gauge). now I have welding cable (00/01gauge).

Re: Need a 700R4 Tranny
You know what, I think you did mention that.
Hey, would you be interested in doing some work on my kid's car?
It needs lower intake gaskets and a starter installed.
Just curious what you would charge for these items. It's a '91 Z-28, 305
tuned port.

Re: Need a 700R4 Tranny
well, actually Im not taking any work for a while. been busy since winter so I need a break. sort of. time to get some work done to my car and Im bringing my dads TA over here to do a heads/cam swap proly next week or the week after that. Im thinking I'll be taking a break till the end of october to insure I can enjoy the football season, maybe get a couple more rounds of golf in, hit the track with my car, and all the typical stuff that I havent had much time to do for a while. Im sure you understand. if you still have the car november1 let me know. I'll swing you a good deal. both problems could come apart easy, and Id do the gasket swap and starter swap for $200, or it could get ugly if fastners are stuck as I explained before. then the price goes up depending on how many bolts/nuts break or are stripped. ofcourse you'd have to supply all the parts, or I could get you a good price for new GM stuff.
