Was curious as to what 1/4 track is the closest to Grand Haven? I get out there a lot for family stuff.

they've recently renovated, i've heard it's nice.......right along 131, pry 45min-1 hour south east if i had to guess...

 

US131 is going to be closer to a hour and a half coming from Grand Haven. I know there is Thunderbird in Muskegon, but I think its only 1/8 mile.

 

i guess it depends on what kind of road work they have going on......it shouldn't take more than an hour though.....if it did, you could go to stanton and the mid michigan motorplex, which would be closer to 1 1/2 away...

Has to be Martin hands down.

 

Hey John give me a holler next spring. I'm just across the mich/INdiana border in New Buffalo. We can head up to Thunderbird by Muskegon and try out some 1/8 mile fun. They run 1/8 mile races sometimes at Martin and a lot of the racers like it better. Less stress on the car. I also have relation close to Grand Haven

So us131 is martin? is it a dump or decent? i have been to stanton it's decent.

 

Martin is a very nice facility. Grass pit areas, but other than that its top-notch.

 

Yes US131 is Martin. It used to be known as Martin dragway for 20 some years and then a guy from Canada bought it and totally rebuilt the whole place a couple years ago. Now it is known as US131 Motorsports Park

 

Yeah Thunderbird in Muskegon just switched to 1/8th mile this past season. It sucks cause I always liked going somewhere where there weren't a lot of people. Preferring the 1/4 mile myself also I'll probably never go there again.

Besides all that US131 is a much much much better track and facility.

 

Anyone ever rented 131, any idea on cost?

 

Make sure every car there will pass tech with a fine tooth comb or they will be watching. Hitler trained the guys at 131.
