st. clair shores isn't what it used to be, neither is harper woods. grosse pt. is nice but high prices. i would go harrison twp, or west side like livonia..
nix warren as well. sterling hts is a nice area too. that might not be a bad one to look into.

I gotta disagree with the above poster about Sterling Heights....it is right on top of Warren...it might as well be the same city. Wouldn't live there either.
I'm staying with my original recc. of Bloomfield, Birmingham, Rochester, Grosse Pointe and the better areas of St.Clair Shores.

If you'ld like someone to cruise past and take some real pics of what the place looks like you can pm me an address - I'm in Oak Park , near Royal Oak/Southfield/Berkley.
I rented a hotel earlier this year in Galveston - looked at 10 different hotels online, not one mentioned there was a five-lane highway between them and the beach,and you really couldn't see it from the pictures they posted.
