Modded 87 Grand National $11000

Its not my car, but it is out in front of a house not far from me. Complete paint job in 2005, 3" downpipe, Dutwiller intercooler, adjustable boost ****, track chip and street chip. Paint is nice, no orange peel, badging is all there, stock wheels with nice tires. I will go back and check the mileage and write down the phone number if anyone is interested.

No pics

Its a hardtop with nice seats but cracked dash top. Power windows, locks, seat. Pioneer aftermarket stereo. Red Armstrong high flow fuel pump with hotwire kit. ATR adjustable fuel pressure regulator. 50 lb red stripe injectors. New high torque starter. It has 117,000 miles but doesnt look it. $11000 or best offer. 11gs seems high for the miles. 8 grand would be a good buy if there are no trans issues or vacuum pump/brake problems. 989-415-2585

Since paint is usually $4000 to $6000 these days, is it really that overpriced?

Its definiately not a Maaco paint job, but the car is sitting under a tree and needs a wash job to see the paint better. I have hauled low mileage GNs and people seem to be asking whatever they want and getting it. 2 years ago I hauled a 7000 mile GN from upstate NY to Livonia that the new owner paid $22500 for. He just sold it on ebay last month (with 7500 miles) for $29950. Most people are afraid of high mile turbo cars that have not had an engine rebuild and none was mentioned in the list of mods.

I will have to swing by and take a peek at that. I agree, Jack, $8000 is a more reasonable price. I would expect something REAL nice for $11,000 with that kind of mileage.

...all I can say is WOW.

I went for my first ride in a Grand National tonight. It belongs to JakeRobb's wife and it was a real treat: Kind of like someone handing you the keys to a show car. That boost, when it hits, is like David Banner turning into the Hulk.

The brakes however.....

Its easy to get hooked on boost. After driving my turboed 96 Impala SS (11 sec 4200 lb car), I thought next time it will be more cubes and a bigger turbo.
