Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2006 Pictures -- 80 FBodies!
I'm totally thankful to all that came out and showed support for the FBody community. There were three seperate incidents involving members that were either on their way (A Firebird member rearended a Camaro member on 696 in the traffic jam mayhem on the way in from Adrian) or while they were there (A lady in an Explorer hit a Camaro RS member, dented the rear quarter panel in good... and another Camaro member bumped into the Camaro infront of him on Woodward). Half of them left throughout the day or by the time we were on the way to Woodward, but let me tell you, though, nothing is more sweet than rolling onto Woodward 50 fbodies deep.
Here's my thread with all 152 pictures. I'd post them here, but I don't want to jam up CZ28's bandwidth.

I am REALLY bummed about this. I didn't even know about this meet, I guess I have been too busy to pay attention. I took my car out for the first time this year on Saturday (much later than normal), and I was wanting to go somewhere with it.

Hey Jason, sorry to hear about ya not knowing. I was tempted to PM you and Chris to let you guys know, I remember last year you wanted to go. I've had the invite thread in the michigan section since January, bumped it quite a few times but it wasn't that hot of a thread. I will make sure you find out about it next time, the guys want to do it at a track next, and the Fall meet will be over on the West side of the state. Always next year though, and next year we might have to have it at a college parking lot or something of the sort due to the sheer amount of cars we had this year, if we keep doubling each year that'd be like 150 cars next year!!! ouch!

I'm not much of a coffee guy, but sounds good to me. I'm jealous of the Atlanta and Bowling Green gatherings, would love to see something like that here in Michigan... doesn't need to be that big, but something yearly like that would be fun to have. Superfest is awesome, but I feel bad for the guys with 'birds that can't go. I'll run M11 by the guys on the site, see what they think... this past meet was almost entirely decided by the site, we had polls on location, dates, etc so everyone was a part of the planning process.
The lucky owner would be Dennis from the Western Michigan Camaro Club. He owns two FBodies, that one and a very nice 3rd gen Iroc as well. Great guy, very friendly! Felt bad for him, on his drive over from the West side of the state, he encountered a rock to his hood.. cracked the paint, thankfully away from the flames and skull so fixing it won't be as hard as trying to fix a rock chip in the middle of the flame job.
So, who's the lucky owner of that beast?

Don't worry, there's always next time -- we'll have more this year, the group on the West side of the state is planning for theirs in late August, bit of a drive but definitely should be worth it since WMCC will be able to participate heavilly in that one! This is our 2nd annual, and if we start getting some sponsorships this year for the site, we can afford to have a more professional one with a DJ, trophies, etc.
