Martin Tomorrow Night

Just thought that I would let you guys know there are a few of uf from Michiganspeed going to Martin for TNT tomorrow.

Got my car off the Dyno last night and the numbers don't add up. I'm going to go see if they really are that low.

I highly doubt that they are. So the track is the only way I have to test out if the car is in fact faster than last year.

Last year I ran 13.7's @ 100 for my best passes.
No dyno time so I didn't have any numbers.

Dyno numbers from last night: 240RWHP, 260RWTQ.
With those figures I should only hit 93mph.

We'll see. Anyone know if you can set up a dyno incorrectly as the operator so that it reads waaaayyy off?

Those numbers don't look too bad to me, you should be able to get some decent times. That rear wheel horsepower should equal low 13's.

I know I bitch about this everywhere but I have AFR heads, Stealth Ram, custom grind cam, 3.73's, Vigilante 2800, custom tuning (by me), and a whole lot of time and effort into my motor. I just simply cannot see how I don't have more power than this.

Tomorrow will tell the tale. All I need to do is hit 5100rpm in the 1/4 and I would be happy. Thats 105mph and thats 5mph over last year. I would think that gaining an extra 5mph would net me nearly 1/2 second.

We'll see tomorrow.

Black C4 with a hood scoop eh? Whats your name so I can say Hi when I see you. My name is Brad.

I am actually going to Milan today, Martin trip will be a few weeks. I didn't realize you had that many mods, that number is low for those modifications, the dyno could have easily been miscalibrated or you could need some more tuning (tuning could make a huge difference, how did you tune it yourself, what program?). Good luck and let us know what you run at the track tonight. My trip to Milan today for test and tune will be the first trip to the drags with my new motor.

You going to go next week Brad? I was going to go today, but I have been all over West Michigan today getting my salvage title Sunfire on the road legally, and the Mustang needs some tuning. I have managed however to shave about 90 pounds off the 3430 pound race weight from a month ago

With the pitiful numbers I put down last night I don't think I'll be going to the track other than to watch any time soon.

Try some more tuning and check to make sure everything is setup right on your motor and then get back out there and race, don't let this get you down. You'll figure out your motor and in the meantime just race and have fun.
