Made a sub box...

Came out pretty well. I just want to get a better sub and better amp. just one 10" and a 500W amp, bridged.

It fit more perfect than I had hoped.

Run to the positive terminal box...

If you're running any wires through the firewall, I'd recommend this spot. Right under the ecu. I put a small hole in it with a screw driver and fed the wire through, straight to the trunk. I was afraid I'd have to drill through the firewall when I started.

It was a much easier install than I thought it'd be.

Looks good. Any hints on your build process? I took my regular box that sat on the decklid, holds two 12s, and made a little "stand" for it so it would sit where my rear seats used to be... definitely no where near what I wanted, but a simple fix to have it ready for Camaro Superfest this weekend. Will be doing it the right way sometime soon so it's a 100% custom "sub rack" to cover the whole backseat.. curious as to how you did yours, obviously the shape is different, but did you fiberglass or MDF?

Good job!! I got lazy and just bought the MTX pre-formed box for that spot. Oh well, at least you get the credit of doing it yourself! (and you probably saved a fair bit of $$$)

I took an old box and broke it apart, so whatever that was made out of is what that box is. I cut a cardboard shape to approx what I saw in the trunk. Then when I got it close, I pulled the plastice piece in the rear, put the cardboard behind it, traced it, then I cut along the line. Laid the cardboard on a piece of wood, and cut into it. The shape fit almost perfectly. The back of the box is just a sqaure box screwed onto the funky shaped piece of wood. I didn't have the patience to mess with all the crap back there. There is a stud sticking straight up for the cd changer, all kinds of spots sticking out here and there etc...

Used a table saw to get all cuts on the back of the box perfect, glue each piece together so you get no air leaks, and then I used a brad gun for a little extra grab.
