Made it to Chesterfield, MI. :)

Finally made it to MI. So far, I like this place. Little more traffic, but people seem all and all pretty nice. I had to put the Z on a Uhaul and trailer it up here from LA. because I didn't have time to get my m6 in. Driving a 26' super mover with a trailer isn't fun btw.

Anyway, I am trying to finish my m6 swap this weekend and I am still am looking for advice on how to install a new tailshaft bushing. I have messed up three now. I have a 12ton press and it still wants to bend into the oil galley as I slowing press it in. After it does this the driveshaft will not slide into it. Any suggestions??

Also, any weekend spots people go too around here? Like cars and beer?

Check out Wild Woodies on Gratiot between 13 & 14 mile on Sunday afternoon, there is usually a small car hangout there. Check out metro park (which should be right near you, find 16 mile and take it all the way to the lake [east]), lots of people go there on the weekends, beach/marina/par 3 golf course; costs ~$5 to get in per car on the weekend. In MI the mile roads start in Detroit and go north, they go east to west and are a good base to memorize to find your way around.

Also a nice drive is to hop on Jefferson (road bordering Lake St. Claire) and just cruise South, you will go through St. Claire Shores city, Grosse Pointes, then to the Ghetto, then eventually to downtown Detroit. (Check out google maps since there is a disconnect in Jefferson near Chesterfield due to Selfridge Air National Guard base).

Just go get lost, its fun. (keep a map handy though)

Nice. Is their any emission testing in this state? How about noise restrictions?
I got my Z back on the road yesterday. Finished M6 swap and cruising the roads.
I like this place much better than Louisiana.

Emissions - no. Noise - yeah, but I don't know the details. I think it's 90 decibels, measured at an angle from the back of the car at a distance.

Just be cool and you can get away with a loud exhaust. Most cops don't notice it unless you are acting like a ricer.

if your car is loud because it sounds good you'll be fine. if it's a stock motor with a cherry bomb or some rediculous cut out then you'll find trouble.
