For whatever reason the track sucked right the spot where my 1-2 shift was and it would totally blaze the tires there.

I had an awesome time!

thanks Jay and Val and everyone!

slippery

I thought I had a decent tire....G/Force KDW. They sucked there at the track. Tore the heck out of them in 1st and 2nd. I had fun though, everyone who set it up did a great job. Thanks! Pretty dismal showing for the first time at the track for the 97 SS convert. Oh well.

I thought the traction was awesome as usual at the track. Only 1 time did I get a little squirrly in the right lane going into 3rd gear - but I saw other people doing the same thing.

Yeah, I saw a bunch of people hooking up.....I guess I just suck as a driver....a little too agressive revving and coming off the clutch. It was fun though. I thought I broke something, started getting a weird rattle shifting into 3rd gear. So I only ran a couple times.

track conditions

I got my best ever 60 ft(1.977) on Kuhmos or any other steet tire(I wish I could have bolted up the BFG DR's)

It was a bit slippery about 330 ft out,I would get a little wiggle around there on the 1-2 with an A4,Todd noticed it as well on his run(all runs were right lane)

Dave remember you asked if I seen your run?(I didn't)

Well I thought about it for a bit (do you smell something burning )

I think you clutch was slipping
#1 your MPH was down over your other runs

#2 Your 60 ft was not near as bad as your first pass(5/10's better) and your ET did not improve.
Just a thought.

No clutch remember.. we talked about that...

i made about 8 1-2 gear since i left the track till now.. each time the car grabs second and barks them and goes.

I never smelled my clutch one time yesterday, it held on the 2-3 and 3-4 shift great.. i did get better than a 2.6 60' the last run was a 2.1 60'. HOWEVER THE ****ING TRACK LET ME SPIN ON THE 1-2 SHIFT and it ****ED MY RUN AGAIN!!..

WTF WHAS ON THE TRACK OUT THERE?!?!?!

Yeah, my stock tires weren't cuttin' it anymore, I was on ice goin' from 1st to 2nd nowhere close to my average times and mph. Still alot of fun though as always.

I had great traction for stock Eagle GSC's. Pulled several 1.9's and if it wasn't for the big headwind I woulda hit 12's. (13.041 was best @ 106.87)
Had an awsome time Thanks Jason D!

I was pulling 1.9 60's on BFG's and didn't have any trouble with hooking. I am running 373 gears with a auto. I think the left lane was hooking better. I got very little wheel spin at all.

Didn't have a problem with launching,I was almost hitting 2 sec flat 60's, I would light'em hitting 2nd more than usual, had to half *** it alittle bit to adjust, but a little too much for my liking. My gsc's are on thier last leg.

I did see a lot of people doing the 1-2 and 2-3 dance.
That was probably me 61k on a stock clutch and it's real tired. But hey 13.4 and 13.7 on a pretty burned up disc with a headwind is not too bad at all.
