I need to say that you have by far the sweetest sounding LS1 I have ever heard What kind of setup are you running on that? Also what happened to you on your last run there, im assuming you puffed the 'ole 10 bolt?

Wow thanks. Lanes true duals w/ x-pipe, and spiral flow bullet mufflers. I am 3 for 3 this year with 10 bolts at club track events. 2 motown muscle events and the cz28 M10 event. I haven't broken a gearset yet, my only problem is with axles and differentials. I am narrowing the combo down and almost have it bulletproof.

Why not just go to a tried-and-true 12-bolt?

you must be the 5 millionth person to ask me that! lol

because I dont have $2k + laying around. And to answer your next question, no, I havent spent 2k on 10 bolts! The 10 bolt has always worked well for me on the street. But occasionally I like to go to the track with the club and the hard launches start to take its toll

I was in the front row of the stands when you zinged that last one. I feel for you, man.

Just curious... at this rate, how long until you've spent $2000 on 10-bolt upkeep?

A looong time. I've spent alot less than most people think. I do most of the work myself when I can, but I have Scott@Drive Train Solutions set my gearsets up.

The 10 bolt in my car would go easliy into the 10's in an automatic car. I was having alot of fun Saturday letting the clutch out at 5-6k every time but that was dumb on my part. The run when it blew, i felt the car roll back just a tad. My fault for not getting everything in the drivetrain pre-loaded at the starting line like I had been all day in TNT.

yea, lots of time its the added shock from play in the drivetrain that does it. about the exhaust, im assuming you have LTs?

yahoo probably hates me right now because of all the bandwidth ive been using. You can download the RAW files here in a zip file. Make sure you only do it once, theres a limit on the number of dls. http://s62.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3...Y2WC4IWDVBF6VE

AGREED! I went to M10 at the latest possible notice and had a blast with the SS! It was great that I could get so many runs in as it was my first time to the track! I loved seeing all the GM support! I will go again in the future!
