Looking for a snowmobile:$1,500 range

Like the subject says. I will consider anything but I'm mostly looking in the 500-600cc range. I've found quite a few 94-95 600's for this price it's just a matter of getting to it before it's sold. If anyone has one, or could point me in a good direction to look I'd greatly appreciate it. Brand does not matter either. I used to ride Yamaha's but I've been on a couple of the newer sleds by a few different manufacturers and they all ride nice to me.

Thanks,
Jason

Don't want a triple...too much trouble. Plus it's about $1000 dollars more than my price range. Thanks for the reply though.

Tripples arent that bad, the only thing that sucks is sycnhronizing the carbs. which isnt a big deal for me since my friends dad has the mercury thing to do it..

Even if it ran good, which I know too many people who have had trouble. Getting the carbs tuned every season would get expensive. I was talking to the local Ski-doo dealer and they charge like $20 bucks more than the average price if the sled is a triple. That's just for the preseason carb tune not anything else. I have nothing personally against them, I'm just trying to avoid the hassle.

Too bad you aren't looking for something a little newer.

My dad just told me today that my cousin is selling his '02 MXZ600 "X" model that only has 240 miles. It's a sweet sled but a little more than in the $1500 range.

I found a 96 Polaris XLT 600 triple with some 12" suspension mod or whatever. I think the guy will go $1500. Let me know if you are interested and I'll point you to him.

Timberwolf. Like I said earlier I'm not Crazy about triples but I will consider one for the right price. It just about has to be in perfect condition to interest me though. I know that's aweful picky for my price range but that's why I just don't really consider them. Just too much hassle for the knowledge I have of snowmobiles. If I knew a lot more it probably wouldn't be so bad. But I've heard nothing but troubling things about them.
Send the guy my way if he's got some good pictures. And thanks a lot for keeping your eye out for me. Greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

I loved my Polaris tripple, not one problem but it was a EFI sled.
RXL650SKS with the extra 12 rear.
