Looking for shops in MI good with ls motors>

I need some recommendations on shops good at rebuilding LS2 motors. Friend has a 2005 Trailblazer SS with the ls2. Oil pump quit working and now has a knock. Who would you guys trust to do a quality job? Motor has 50,000 miles.

Thanks
Brandon

Victory Race Engines does great work, I don't know if they do the R&R though... give them a call they are sponsors here.

Sean at C.A.R.S. (Collins Automotive in Waterford) has done a lot of LSx work.

An '05 would be out of warranty with 50k on the odometer.

Ya the warranty is up because of the 50K. You have a contact number for collins automotive? I got one estimate from victory already.
Thanks
Brandon

Try Katech or Wheel To Wheel. They both do top quality work.

Eric,
Glad you guys got something worked out. He was kinda lost as to where to go. Thought I would help him out and do the leg work for him. After all he does let me hunt some awesome farm land in Ithaca
Make sure you guys treat him good. He is a big guy and I don't want him coming after me.

Brandon,
Rod seems like a very good guy, and just needed a little direction. He gave me the full story and I would be very confused too. 55,000 miles is alot is less then a year. We are going to hopefully meet up this week, and see what the damage is. Thank you for recommending us.

not that it's relevant but that's insane.. 55,000 miles in an 05, i can't imagine driving that much.
