The last time I asked for help pulling the tranny the only person to show up was Pete. Then I asked for someone to come over and listen to the car last July and the only person to show up was Mike.

Are rattling synchros bad? I wouldn't think I would have anything rattling in the tranny after spending $1500 to have the thing rebuilt.

Oh, BTW this is on the McLeod Street Twin. There aren't any synchros in this clutch.

How big is the cam? What size injectors? Is the program adjusted for different injectors?

$100 says its the opti. Mine did the exact same thing. When it was cool just starting up it would run fine. After about 5-8 minutes once the temperature gage moved it would start to back fire.

Even though you might of gotten a new one or a used one lately. I would still give another a try. They are only $185 bucks.

And remember....on an Lt1 its almost always the OPTI.

If you need some help, let me know.

Hey, those are my cam specs! What's your intake lobbe centerline set at? I'm doing 108 degrees for my Minirammed 385.

Are you using the Comp Cams Xtreme Energy hydraulic roller lobe profiles?

Hey Joe... I never really considered the OPTI but... When I first put the car back together I never lined up the spline and just pulled it on with a ratchet... To later find out I did it wrong I keyed it up and it started right up... Im pretty sure Its the original opti.. so Its probley time for a new one anyway...

ok then go get that 100 bucks then and bring it over.

Bob, I really think its it. Those things go out if you just look at them wrong..lol

plus when you pulled off your water pump to do the cam swap, small amounts of water come out of the pump/block and drip on that little bitch.

I say get one then come give me a ride it that thing
