I can help a little.. I have some expirience with the FAST fel pro stuff..

otherwise you need to be talking to someone who knows the ls1 perameters and ls1 edit..

The best help most people can give is.. if you dont know how to tune a car or use ls1 edit.. is to not help at all.. you can make things bad.. VERY easy

Sorry Laura... I am still back in the stone age with an LT1!

BUT... Gotta agree with Dave, PLAY now could be PAY later.
You don't want that!! Did it come with any instructions, etc?

If you had a book to tell where all STOCK settings are then you might be able to make some changes without fear of total disaster. OR... DOCUMENT every change, from what to what.

Good Luck,

HInk

I can save to my laptop the stock setting in the PCM before I make any modifications. The software came with instructions. I would just like some help with someone who has actually used it and is familiar with it. An easy way to make a $100 and teach me some things.

You do a read first, save a copy of your original program then make a copy to edit.

You can't do any harm by doing a "read only" of your current tuning.

The graphical interface is fairly easy to use for removing speed limiter, cags, fan on/off points, gear ratios and more.
I have never tried editing timing or air/fuel delivery and will probably leave that for someone with more experience.

I would suggest reading your pcm and saving a copy of your original tune. Create a second copy, open it with edit and start poking around a little just to familiarize yourself with the gui.

If you keep a copy of your original (and successive) tune, you can go back to it if you do something undesireable.

A word of caution... There is one way a lot of people (myself included) have screwed up. If you lose battery power (car or laptop) during a reprogram, your PCM will likely be ruined. Make sure your batteries are up to the task and you should be OK.
