Lansing/East Lansing Folks

I'm working up here now..on the border of Lansing and East Lansing. A little tiny road that runs between Kalamazoo and Michigan Avenue about a block west of 127

I've seen a few up here... saw a nice silver camaro with tail light blackouts near campus, and a black new style (98 up) by the highway here when I was headed to lunch.

You lansing guys keep an eye out for me and say hi if you see me. I'm in the polo green 94Z with single tail pipe (though still making lots of noise). Right now the pro stars are on with skinnies up front. Can't miss me
I am usually up here from 9 til 5 or so. Sometimes later depending on the college girls lol

Any cruise spots or anything up here?

I work for United Services on Charles St. I'm the project estimator. We do insurance work for fire/flood/trauma type situations.

Mainly I sit and play on the computer most of the day becuase I run about 1 estimate a day and have about 30 minutes worth of typing to enter it all in and fax to the insurance adjuster.

Arrow The Hookers...

all hang out about 1 block North of Michigan Ave in downtown Lansing. Used to work on the RailRoad up there and we would drive by and beep. NEVER stopped for servicing, though!

If you see a red SS w/ Borla tips stickin' out the back cruising thru town, that's me. You should stick around one Friday so you can hit "The Gut" with us. Can never have too many f-bodies.

Lemme know if you want the details...

Mike,
If you want a good oriental stlye buffet lunch just take Kalamazoo east to the 1st street east of 127 turn left 2nd building on the left. Hong Kong. Excellent food, good price. And 2 blocks from where you work.

Thanks Al, I'll have to check it out. I am still learning the area and finding places to hit for lunch. So far I have hit Sidestreets Deli, Reno's, Jimmy's Pub, Panera, Emil's, and Taco Bell (lol)

I'm one of the mustang guys that hangs around. I'm pretty hard to miss, as I'm the only dark blue (not black) notchback with indiana plates in the lansing area. I may have a new job here pretty soon, but it's in friggen holland. Seeing as my ex-wife just wrecked my commuter car I let her borrow, it looks like I'm going to have to make the 90 mile commute with my stang...assuming I get the job that is.

I may be at the gut tonight, but seeing as my daughter is staying with me for the summer (she's only 6), I probably wont be there for very long.

Hear you there - I have kids too, between ages 2.5 and 7.

It sounds like it's time for another Lansing area Friday night get-together. I think we missed doing one last summer!

What do you think, Mike, Kevin, and Al? Perhaps in conjunction with the CamaroZ28.com nationals? Maybe the week before?

Sounds like a plan. I'm not good at organizing, but perhaps we should get a sticky thread for people that want to come.

I'm back pretty early tonight, as around 10:40 the cops rolled in and announced over th P.A. that we all were trespassing and had to leave. I was only going to stay until 11:00, so I wasnt able to make the usual left hand turn like all the rest of the folks to go to sams.

I've gotta find out where people cruise in this town--- I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've lived here since September of '93 and haven't yet found out where people with real cars hang out. I always thought Lansing was the automotive wasteland of Michigan!

I saw a lot of muscle cars on the road today and I'm really itching to finish up mine and put it on the road: Lots of stuff to finish up. Headliner, interior reinstall, finish the T56 6-speed swap (Got the torque arm installed tonight), and retard the cam eight degrees, along with a tuneup, and installation of the lightweight aluminum bumper support.

That's about it. After that, I think we're ready to cruise!
