Whats wrong with street tires? Event though I can launch harder in my subdivision than at milan doesn't mean that milan's that bad

It's hard to respect a track when a 15.60 car can't get out of the hole on 315mm wide drag radials without spinning to redline. It wasn't a one time deal either, it was multiple times last year. I have cut a BEST 60 foot there also with an ET Street tire but I won't tell you that it wasn't STILL spinning.

I live on a dirt road and it's a strain to spin them on loose gravel. The car hooks on ANY road/parking lot/alley/dusty driveway, etc...How couldn't it? If it was at Milan.

Still my home track tho.

The track is fine until the guys that by-pass the burnout box in droves just dirty the launch pad area.

I couldnt better a 2.1 on drag radials at milan. I'll be on slicks in a couple of months so hopefully that will change. Norwalk needs to be a lot closer.

first gen is right!

its the lack of direction from the folks running the track! they must enforce street tired cars, with a fulll size radials up front(rwd) to GO THE **** around the waterbox and then back up to it!

just mu .02, rant mode off.

I seen the biggest problem was people bringing escorts, messed up old trucks running 16-20 second qtm. And the worst is bringing cars and trucks that leak oil and other fluids, that plus the y dont like to vht the track alot! Its bad when a stock automatic 2001 SS will burn 315`s an 1/8 mile, best 60 on e.t streets is 1.80 and that was with 10 lbs of pressure!

Good news! The track seems much better this year! They ground the starting line all the way out past the transition so it is very smooth & level now. It hooked great for me today. I cut 1.8 60 fts on E/T streets in the '02 on every run! No tire spin what so ever. In fact, my clutch slipped on all 3 launches! I was even the very first car to run down the track today with no problems. Hopefully they'll continue this level of track prep all year.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the E/T Streets were at 22 psi all day!

They did look a little full! Did you hang up your "first car down the track this year" award yet? hehe jk

If anyone missed it. SCOTT was THEEEE first car down the track this year.

Really close to a new PB for sure, cobra killa.
