I drove an 06 ZO6 today!

My brother is the family "genetic mishap", and grew up in the same shack in Taylor-tucky that I did but somehow came out successful, driven, and quite well off financially. At any rate he ordered this car just after the autoshow when it was unveiled and took delivery this past June. This was my first chance to get a ride in the beast and I'll tell ya...It was impressive to say the least. I've had a couple of cars on the bottle and a GN that were as quick in the 1/4 but not even in the ballpark for streetability. I drove for about 10 miles to Bakers in Milford then got out and asked him to take me for a real ride. We made 117mph in third gear before we ran out of space and had the g meter at just under
1G getting on the freeway. He only has 1,000 miles on it and is selling it soon so the "Ride from Hell" was short lived but I was soiled front and back when I got out. He also has an 01 or 02 Viper gts that belonged to Joe Perry (of Aerosmith) that hes keeping but he swears the vette is quicker, more comfortable, and more streetable.
My Trans Am needs alot of attention after today, and about 200 more horsepower!!

They sure are a damn impressive car . I've run in a couple Solo-I events at the track near me (Mosport) and a guy has been out a couple times with his C6Z ... absolutely stunning the performance it puts on! There are only 1 or 2 other cars capable of matching the Z06's times on the track, but the Z06 just looks like it does it with such ease . And he's still running the factory Goodyears!!
