Hoods ....SS or Cowl?

I have a dark purple metallic 95 Z I will be replacing the front bumper cover over the winter. I figure I might as well get a new hood to be painted at the same time.
Looking for opinions go with the SS style or the cowl?

"SS Hood" says, "Hi, I wish I had an SS Camaro"

" 2" or 4" Cowl Hood" says..."Hi, I'm gonna beat your *** back to wednesday, maybe twice"

That race car needs a race cowl

I don't like the cowl hood on a 4th gen. I would go with the SS hood. just my .02

Talking the SS hood looks awesome...

had to throw in my .02, lmao!!!!!

i just think the SS hood is a more modern looking hood and suits the 4th gens to a tee.

also i think a cowl would look better on a 3rd gen.

A big cowl hood with straight sides contrasts too sharply with the smooth body lines of a fourth gen. It doesn't have to look exactly like an SS hood, just get a some kind of scoop that faces forward.

ADDED: go here (a Harwood page) and here (a US Body Source page). US Body source should have one of those for 93-97s too.

I agree with Denny (AutoRoc).

Actually, my first choice would be to stay with the stock Z28 hood. I kind of like the sleeper effect. The stock hood says "Don't bother looking at me because I'm a stock or nearly stock Z28 and you can beat my ***" so when you actually put a beat down on them it suprises them that much more.

Hell, with my 2002 Z28 I actually thought about taking the Z28 badges off and putting on an exhaust system that looks like the V6 exhaust just to make it more of a sleeper.
