I’ve been into venues flytraps, Chi pets, and throw in a Bonsai or two or three for a unique garden. The Balloon animal thing can get out of hand when I get a 50 count bag or a 50 pack of Wrigley chewing gum, then its look out good times…
…weaving gum wrappers into 70’s doorway blind rules!
Then theres the colored water wall covering created with empty 5th’s of Jack Daniels bottles back lit with Black lights and a color wheel… Ya baby
Marble collecting is pretty much a lost art form but on a good day of flea marketing you can pick up a couple thousand of the buggers for $10 or so. They f’d up my chain link pull tab collection a few years ago when they did away with those…

Oh lets talk paper animal tricks…

We work pretty closely with the IMB and Richard Bustillo, as well as Walt Hartwich, Dan Inosanto, Cacoy Canete, etc.
The linneage goes Bruce Lee --> Richard Bustillo --> Eric Smith (my instructor) as far as JKD certification.
Here's a pic of Richard and I after one of the seminars he led: http://www.sixtyninecamaro.com/images/bustillo.JPG
I think our school's website is down at the moment www.mimaa.com but here is a quick article I found in a google search about our instructor being inducted into the martial arts hall of fame: http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/n...rs/168577.html
If you'd like to come work out with us sometime, you are more than welcome! We ave a pretty nice building (I did some of the remodeling even - see the blue padded wall behind the instructor in the newspaper picture?)

I study Kali/Escrima, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Wing Chun. We also do some western boxing. While I don't consider it a style, Jeet Kune Do is the philosophy that we utilize. (Thus my avatar
Very nice selection.. I have studied
Tae Kwon Do ( go for excercise poor for self defense) IMO
Tai Chi ( love hanging with the senior's good for getting your
Chi to flow )
Akido ( Brutal )
rye ko nyte( Pure violence throat, knees, groin, etc)
and pencat silat ( ROCKS and makes the most sense from
a actual defense view, still trying to overcome bad habits
I learned from the other styles)
I'd like to check out Jeet Kune Do as of yet no local dojo.

yeah, I have played with Penjat silat a bit too. It's a very brutal system. The problem with training it is, some of the stuff just doesn't end well. You can't half-*** a throw in order to save your training partner. The guy would literally land on his head, or a tail bone or something. It's tough to do a break fall when your arms are tied up lol
I totally agree on Tae Kwan Do. It's great exercise and keeps you very flexible, but leave it in the dojo or tournament setting. It's only mildly effective on the street (especially for a short guy like me)

Well, I used to fly RC planes, but that hobbie kinda died off. I pretty much just work on my car now and keep my house from falling apart. Used to go out and play pool alot until I started needing the extra cash for the car.
