High School Nationals

Anyone else going to the High School Nationals on May 3 at Milan? Me, and a few of my friends should be there. Should be fun.

I will be there for sure. I went last year and had a blast smoking ricers and stangs. My friend Kevin with a 98 v6 will be there too testing his new stall so it should be fun. I'm hoping for 11.7's or so :-). He's hoping for 14's.

I'll be there... What is involved with the high school nationals? Do you have to show them your school ID or something? I am only a junior.

That's funny I also have a friend named Kevin with a '00 GT. He's going, a Grand Prix GT, a Grand Am, Civic and Prelude (rice), and a '93 GT, and possibly a few others. I hope to run low to mid 13's once I get my headers installed. I'm the only F-body at my school so it will be nice to see a few others.

You can be a Junior and still have at it. I was a Junior last year and it was a blast (although it was pretty darn cold). I don't remember showing any school ID but if we don't have to, we should all go under one school name and try to win (for instance, CAMARO Z School for the Gifted) or something like that. They do write the name of the school you're representing in that white marker on the back of your car. Otherwise I'll be one of two reps from Cousino. Last year, the school with the highest number of memebers was like 20 or more I think. I think it'd be badass to win the school challenge thing with a made up school :-). I'll find some more information and post it on here.

Here we go...
Race to an Education! - In The Army National Guard, YOU CAN Presents High School Nationals
4 Bracket Classes, Smokey Burnout Contest, and King of the Hill. School Team Points are scored. Prizes and Trophies to all Winners and Runner-Ups.

Drivers must have a signed parental slip, drivers license and school ID. There goes my original idea :-(
(Racers can NOT wear shorts)

Saturday May 3, gates open at 9 A.M.
$20 to Race, $10 to Watch, Kids 12 and under FREE!!

And here's for all you youngins (minors) ;-)

You gotta print it out in COLOR (not exactly why they are hell bent on color) and bring it with you.

Hope to see all you guys there. Look for any "Cousino" cars. There will only be two most likely, me and my best friend Kevin. I got the blue z and he's got the red 98.

I remember racing a younger girl in a black ls1 t/a at one of the cz28 rented track days. I was driving my friend eddie's (eddie95z28) car which is a white 95 z. I recall winning. ;-). Then again, Eddie's got the cc305 and a few bolt-ons. I think I ran 13.1 @ 108 or 109. Once we warmed up my drag radials, Eddie ran back-to-back 12's so it's a pretty sweet LT1.

You all better look out for the young guy driving the blue 94 z. Just look for "BAD 94Z" and you'll know it's me. That's the view you ls1's will be seeing ;-). I better stop trash talking until my car actually runs, right? Bah well it's all in good fun.

You are your friends have some cool *** cars. Hell, I know probably two or three kids with "fast" cars besides me out of all my friends. The rest drive beaters basically lol.

A couple of them go to Divine Child and have money burning holes in their pockets. The kid with the 03 Cobra has a 14 second BMW for his winter beater. I have a 95 Blazer for my beater that was my moms old truck...not exactly a BMW but it works well.

Generally, what are the fastest cars there? I am wondering how far I could get in this competition.

Maybe it was a different girl in a black ls1 lol. I know when she went up against my friend, someone was like "This ls1 is going to tear up the lt1" and my friend wound up winning. Prolly different person but either way this will be fun. And Rodrigues, it's not about et cuz it's bracket racing. So you will go as far as your driving skills permit :-). I got through like 3 rounds last year before I redlighted . I cut a .503, .596, and a .545 so I was tempting fate I guess.
