hey IM FINISHED WITH BOOTCAMP: READ ME

Hey all, I finished bootcamp, it was not bad. I am currently stationed in Port Huheneme California. the weather is so warm, i do not know what to do.
I wake up at 6, look around and see mountains and palm trees, it is so horrible. The ocean is 5 minutes away. Great stuff. Anyways...
I wish I had my car! damn california emissions regulations... I get to play with guns and cars, I am a Seabee, my rating is CM, good stuff. Mechanic for the United States Navy, never thought I would be where I am today. Guns and cars, does life get any better than that? They are going to PAY ME to get ASE master certified, PLUS the friggen MGIB.

You should see the facilities I can utilize when I do get my car shipped here, $5 gets me access to a hoist, dyno, and governement tools. I Love this! Anyways, I am going to see if I can find something to do.

I hope all is well, and the cars are packed tightly in their resting spots awaiting the next signs of spring. Have a great thanksgiving and Christmas if I am not back in town by then.

Charlie

Hey man, I hope you enjoy your adventure! I whistfully remember MY days in the military, when I was stationed overseas and got paid to work nights, and got my days to simply dirt-bike across the Australian outback.... Then I got stationed in Cocoa Beach, where my dorm was only 100 yards from the ocean. I got my Trans Am when I was in the USAF, and I still have it as a reminder of days gone by.

Be sure to keep us informed, and TAKE ADVANTAGE of what the USN has to offer. It can be a great life if you buy into the military culture. My brother is US Army, and has been in the service since January, 1986. He and I went into the service the same year: I went five years, he's going the whole distance. Both of us liked military life.
