HELP!!! ROADRAGE (Eric) MIA!

I had a deal a couple weeks ago with Eric. I bought TONS of parts from him. I was supposed to get heads, water pump, intake, elbow, pushrods, timing set, fuel rails, pushrods, fuel rails, injectors and an afpr from him. When he shipped, he "forgot" the elbow, pushrods, timing set, fuel rails, pushrods, fuel rails, injectors and an afpr. Now I'm having to pay $60 a day to store my car because it's down to the block and this guy isn't responding to any of my phone calls, PM's, emails or instant messages. Does anybody have any way of getting a hold of him?

On top of that, the heads that I bought from him were said to be "freshened up 2000 miles ago". The intake valves have nothing left to them. If I would have put these heads on my car, they would literally spit oil out the tailpipes. So, now, in addition to having to spend $60 a day on storage, I've got to spend $450 on a new valve job.

If anybody has any way of getting a hold of him, PLEASE let me know. I need my parts... NOW!

he doesn't have internet service right now. But that's all I know.

Also, how come $60 a day? You can get a local storage unit for $60 a MONTH usually. Might be worth it to tow your vehicle to one of those for now. Then at least you cut any more 'daily' losses

I paid a shop to let me work on my car there, signed all the waivers and everything. It's now taking much longer than expected and they're charging me daily. I would have the car towed, but I don't know of any places around here to get it towed to... Hopefully I can just get my parts soon and finish up the car.

Well, his "girlfriend" just IM'd me and told me that Eric's been in the hospital for 5 days due to failed kidneys. *shrug*
We'll see what comes of this.

Re: HELP!!! ROADRAGE (Eric) MIA!

Yeah, me too.

I don't want to sound harsh, but I'm resorting to pretty pessimistic views right now. To be honest, I'd be willing to bet that he's perfectly fine and never stepped foot in the hospital. Excuses are like asses - everybody's got one and they all stink.

If you really are in the hospital, Eric, I hope you get better soon. Best of luck to ya!

Re: HELP!!! ROADRAGE (Eric) MIA!

If his girlfriend says he's in the hospital, I don't doubt it. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

You probably aren't going to find too many people here that are going to say something bad about Eric. That should make you feel better (I hope). I don't know what to say about the heads. The last time I saw his car on the road I gave him a quick run on the express way and it ran strong and wasn't burning oil. That was a while ago but he started tearing the car apart shortly thereafter.

I'm sorry about the situation you are in with your car. I've been there myself with my car torn apart waiting for parts to arrive. Hopefully the situation will get resolved soon.

Thanks for the reassurance, ragtop. I really appreciate it. Put's a new sparkle in my eye.

limige, That's including parts and whatnot... Is that not a good price?
I took them to the only local place I know of, because I NEED this car back together ASAP!

Re: HELP!!! ROADRAGE (Eric) MIA!

Euclid, I had my heads ported to stage 1, New valves installed, 3 angle, screw in studs installed, and springs installed (purchased before hand so they don't figure into price) for a grand total of $500. You're getting boned if you're gonna pay $450 for valves and a 3 angle valvejob. That is unless you are getting some ridiculously expensive valves installed... and they're the majority of the $450.

I live near Eric (if he is still in Lake Orion). If you can get a hold of his GF again, and give her a list of parts, I will go get them and ship them. Send me an email at gdouma@comcast.net or pm here.

Eric is a stand up guy with the worst luck of any person I have ever met before ever. Let me know if I can help.

Re: HELP!!! ROADRAGE (Eric) MIA!

#1 Those heads were redone last year and have less than 3 months of drive time on them. I would sure like the name of the "shop" that is redoing the heads...I call BS

#2 You told me that you and two of your buddies were doing the work yourself because" I am a poor college student and i dont even have 50 extra dollars for the AFPR" So you are doing the work, but paying a shop $60 a day tostore the car? Even if so, anyone that takes a car to a shop without having the parts ready isnt to bright. Lie #2

#3 Before the heads, intake waterpump, valvecovers were shipped I asked "when are you sending the second half of the money?" What was your reply??? "As soon as you ship the parts." I looked back into the messages we sent, sure enough, when we made the deal you said you would send the stuff out the next day. When did you send my money? 5 days later maybe? I told you the day you were SUPPOSED to send my money that i didnt send the bolts, pushrod, elbow, but I would 2 day ship them if you shipped my stuff the next day. 3 days later you finally managed to ship my money

#4 Leanne talked to you yesterday, and you actually tried to get her to send the package back because it was "the wrong one", although it contained the exact thing you agreed to send.

In closing, there is nothing wrong with the heads, your parts were late because you were late sending me the money, and you are sooo full of ****, I dont feel a bit sorry for you. Stick to your end of the deal, and there wouldnt have been any issues

BTW, where are my snap-on impact swivels?.....Who's the scam artist?

And for the record, the parts went out yesterday, and no, they werent next day aired

Re: HELP!!! ROADRAGE (Eric) MIA!

The valves were completely gone. There was absolutely no margin left. They definitely wouldn't have survived another valve job. They absolutely needed to be replaced. They should have been replaced by the shop that did a valve job. The 45*s on the intakes were completely worn out. The valve guides were very out of spec, which would cause the motor to suck oil and the decks were over 3/1000's warped.

Re: HELP!!! ROADRAGE (Eric) MIA!

I paid a local shop $100 to let me work on my car there for a week and a half. This was my only alternative, as the parking garage that I store my car in doesn't permit work in the garage.
