Help Me Choose Slicks

I am going to buying a pair of slicks and have them mounted on another set of rims for track use only. I want something in a 26" tall by probably 15". Not sure how wide to go, don't want more tire than needed.

Is there a big difference between ET Streets and ET Drags?
Any places recommended to buy in the Detroit area?
Help me out.

Bob

According to tests performed by Car Craft, there is little to no difference between the performance of the ET Drags and the ET Streets. IMO, you really can't go wrong with the ET Streets. You could get something like a 26x11.5-15 (9.9" tread), or you could just use common 15"x8" wheels with 26x10.5-15s (8.3" tread).
With your combination, I bet a set of drag radials would work pretty well. I like BFGs, some guys like Nittos. Just say no to rice!

With the HP level of your car, there wont be a difference between et drags and et streets.
If you want to save some money, definately buy drag radials......I personally would get the Nittos. They really work, I was suprised. My car makes close to 700 ft lbs at the rear tires and they hook.
Also, in the Detroit area, I would goto McCormack Racing. They are on Fort Street in Lincoln Park

I'm going to try Quick Time Pros at the track when my car is done. As far as Drag Radials go, I've had both Nitto's and BFG drag radials. The Nittos hooked better but took more of a burnout to get them stickey, didn't seem to matter how long I roasted the BFG's they never hooked as hard. I only had the BFG's for about a month before I switched to Nittos.

FS: 26x10x15 ET Drags/ skinnies

Tires still have alot left in them. Cut some 1.44 60's, so I know they hook

Fronts are a metric 165 skinnie.

I want $250 for all of them. They are mounted, but will be off within a week, when the new ones get here.

If ya want a pic, I can do that too.
