hey, I have my tech 2 home from work this weekend. feel free to stop by and we can see what cyl. its on, then sw. the coils, then wires, then plugs to find out if any of those are the problem. Im guessing coil myself. as far as the valve goes, I dont think thats gonna be it. due to it running good at idle. also could be an inj. getting dirty. Ive seen that alot w/part throttle misfires. I dont have my cleaning tool here, but I can bring it home one day this week to clear them out for ya. call my cell if you havent scanned it yet w/jon and want to stop by.

whats the chances you just got gas before this happened? i had the same problem with my 98, checked everything, but ended up being water in gas, drove it for a little while untill it was down on gas, then filled it up with some good gas and some dry gas..

just an idea, good luck

later,
Greg

WOO F*@#$%&* HOO!!!!! Chris, you are the man! Thank you, Thank you. Went out to Chris' today hooked up the scanner and showed #4 wasn't firing!? l expected the worse. Chris still thought is was a ignition problem...swapped coilpacks and found one of the pins on the coilpack plug was bent. Straightend the pin, pluged it in, started it up and...NO SES LIGHT!!! Now, I hadn't driven it all winter so I thought it was running fine...when it was actually running on 7 cylinders Well it's running fine now! I am sooo frickn' happy! I can hardly type right now! Chris, if you ever need an extra set of hands for wrenching or a parts gopher I'm your man! I owe ya one. Thanks again bro!
