Gto

I think the GTO is finally growing on me! Especially the SLP rendition. I just figured i'd let yall know, as I was VERY animated about hating the car.

I hated the 4th gen Fbodies when they first came out and over the years have grown to like them. The same goes for the GTO... I really thought they were too family-sedan looking but I went to the dealership and sat in one and just know i'm going to have one some day when I can get a used one for a decent price.

my thoughts exactly. didnt like the 4 gens at first either. now i love them. as for the gto, it just looked boring to me, but the rest of the car is sooo nice that I love them now. I see them all day long at work since I work at a pont. dealership. they are for sure great cars all around. Im just curious to see how much that independent rear will take. we'll see I guess.

Our local Pontiac dealer has had 5 (one of each color but black) sitting outside for the past month. That's not good. If they can't move a car like that now, while it's fresh and trendy, they never will.

Of course, they are the same bastiges that marked up their final eidition T/A's a few thousand bucks. Idiots.

Man they where really hosen back in 94-95, I'd hate to walk in that joint looking at GTO's today
I hate dealers that hold customers hostage like this.

I seen the GTO's going for $35,000 at Rinke in Warren. If you want to talk about mark-ups try looking at the Ram SRT-10. Van Dyke Dodge has one and they have it marked up $4000 over sticker. And its been sitting there for quite a long time.

Why do the GTO's have a gas guzzler tax? Does anyone know what the employee purchase price is on the GTO? When I finish law school I might need a more conservative car than the vette, LOL.

Yeah, I saw that one and some guy also posted some other after market ram air hoods in the GTO forum. They are not bad, maybe you have seen them? I think I could see myself with one some day for sure. Especially the goat package!

Thanks. I can't believe the price is that high on a GTO, an extra 15k and you could get a vette.

I'd rather have the GTO and a $15k beater for the snow days and commuting then a Vette. Not that I don't want a Vette but I'd never pay the price of a new one.

I cant rember the dealership that did it, but fox 2 problem solvers ran the story. You talk about mark-ups. They charged an elderly couple 125k for a seville. They should get suid for that sh**

john, you cant compare the vette to the GTO. the GTO is way more smooth of a ride, and has 4 real seats that are very comfortable. the vette is not a practical car at all due to it not haveing any storage space, but the GTO will never hang w/the vette on any trac (stock to stock obv.) but the GTO is a good compromise for the guy w/a family that wants to go fast. hmm, isnt that just like the orig. GTO? yup.
