GR Lan party info

Ok, done some talking to friends and I have some final info for ya.
Everybody is welcome to show up anytime on Saturday the 15th of February from noon on. If your a little early, no big deal. I know its hard to time travel, and alot of you guys are traveling a few hours. Bring all LAN stuff you have, better to have too much then not enough. PLEASE mark all of your stuff with you name. I suggest masking tape and a sharpie. Dont worry about tables, I have that handled. Remember anything you will want if you plan on sleeping. My wife and kids are bugging out for this one, so I will have 2 waterbeds, 1 futon, and 2 couches that will be free. After that its floor time. Bring a cooler to keep at your feet. I dont want anyone whining when I kick your *** because you had to get up to get a beer I have food covered too, as I still have a boat load of frozen dogs left over from M7 I'll also get some chips or something. BYOB...dont even ask me for my barley pops....well ok you can ask We have the house free of my wife and kids till at least 2pm Sunday. Your all welcome to stay after that, but I will be helping her clean by then. If you show up, and decide to drink...cool. If you show up, drink, and think your leaving, you have to go thru me. I'm 6'2 and 250....dont make me have to smack you!!! I have 12 chairs right now, and I believe at least 6 more on the way. So how about a rollcall for who is coming. I want to know how much stuff I will need. REMEMBER, bring all you have. I would rather have too much then not enough. Here is a URL with a map to my home. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...submit=Get+Map

ANY QUESTIONS???

Q

PS...Dave, throw Debler in the trunk and bring him with...Frezza too.

ALSO, I have already started to burn copies of Warcraft 3 for you guys. With a full 24 hours, I suggest we have a good amount of games on hand.

Yeah, please update your computers for this. If someone doesnt get to it, we can do it quick with my cable connection, but it will slow us down. Prepare for this like you would a trip to the track. The more you have done, the more runs you get.

Dave, Meijers is 1 block away...anything you need 24/7

1 Medal of Honor
2 Return to castle wolfenstein
3 Nascar
4 Quake 2
5 Flight Sim....anybody have a good one????Speak up!!!

I have Warcraft 3 covered...if you have it bring your own copy. Anybody else able to do the others? I might have Nascar...have to check with my brother inlaw.

I'll be there and I call dibs on a couch.

I'll bring my spool of cat 5 and tools, I might have to buy some more ends.

I've got Wolfenstein & Quake 2

How many tables do you have Q, if I can fit my folding table and chairs in the Bonneville I will bring them just in case.

I'll be there, though it may be with a black eye for actually leaving the wife on valentine's day...

For some reason I was thinking this was on the 15th, but I never did check the calendar to see if that would have been a sunday anyway...

Regardless, at this point I am planning on it

I thought that Valentine's Day was Friday? So that would make Saturday the 15th? *checks calendar* Yeah, Saturday is the 15th. So no Valentine's Day wife-ditching worries.

I am hoping to come for part of this shin-dig, I have to see what's happening with a family b-day party. My granddad's birthday is the 15th... I won't be staying overnight though, so Q you won't have any fighting about who gets to sleep with me!

ok, we gotta stop...or at least I do, talking about dates for events 2 for 2 on screwing them up. I guess when I read Q's post up their saying Saturday the 14th, I took it at face value. Anyone want to buy me a calendar for my computer desk? (Just too bad there's no more far side calendars )

So should we start an inventory checklist of what everyone is bringing? Heres mine:

PC#1: AMD XP 1600, 256 DDR, 20x CD burner, GeForce2 TI 128, 19" Samsung CRT

PC #2: Sony Vaio Laptop, P4M 1.6, 256 DDR, ATI Radeon 7500M, 16x CDRW/8xDVD combo, 16.1" Screen

Linksys 4 port and 8 port routers w/ a bunch of Cat5 cables.

Misc: Headphones, cooler, sleepy stuff, etc. . .

Who is bringing a server PC?
