Talking Got to drive her again

Brad, my son, and I just got to run the Rag to the store and back. Looks like everything is in order other then one thing. The tranny vent appears to be plugged. I went to check the fluid level after the ride and it shot about a quart of fluid at me like out of a hose. Scared me so bad I grabbed the fire bottle just in case. So fix that and adjust the shifter linkage and I am offically done.

Thats the truth.

I went back to the garage after this post, and got it all fixed. Runs perfect, and shifts great.

But.......on the way home I get a weird noise, something slapping under the hood. I stop and look and the belt is shredding itself. I must be cursed. So tomorrow I start my search of Grand Rapids for a belt that will fit. On a holiday no less. I'm just glad it runs right now. Should be able to make it to the track on wednesday. Just not sure if I'm going north or south to the track.

US131 is really looking good right now, and probably on of the best in Michigan if not this part of the country. Besides if you go there I'll be there to cheer you on

I don't think the wednesday T&T starts for another week though. Gotta wait til june

Arrow Hey Q...

Corngrats on the Redrag runnin' again.

However I suspect that the tranny blowin' a load on you is not the first time something has blown in your face once you've uncapped it!!!

I got the belt on it, and everything seems to be fine. I want to run her for a few days to make sure everything is where it needs to be, before I take it to the track. But I will be there soon. Just want a solid week of breakage free driving before I TRY to break her.
