Question Good places around Detroit to take pictures of cars?

When I pull my car out in a month or so, I want to take some nice pics of it. Does anyone know some GOOD places to take pictures of cars?

If you have "secret" places and don't want to post them here but wouldn't mind sharing the info, feel free to e-mail me.

Jason...What up

In the palace of auburnhills main driveway in front of those Very sweet water fall hills along the driveways edge. Those are some sweet walls of landscaping. The new Oakland schools main office building on Pontiac lake road by the summit place mall. Lots of glass like the kmart hq, but more angles and huge pipe structures with triangle glass thing's hung in a very wild manor!
Check both out.

On an upslope with the sky as the only background. In the middle of the I-75 Rouge River bridge would be sweet, even if ya just sat the car right on top of the overpass with Detroit's skyline in the background somehow. I've been told by our local camera hero, Nick D'Agostino, that he invisioned a southbound shoot. His camera located in the back of a truck and the object rolling along I-75 giving chase. Someday.......someday

Traffic always seems to F that one up. Especially on a perfect day...hehe

In the Burnbox too with tires smoking but we all knew that one light-years ago.

A totally wierd spot is Toledo World Industries of course in Toledo right along the Maumee River. They have roughly 100 foot high mountains of different sand-like material, some of it's jet black, some is bright white, some is yellow, orange, brown...Choose your own flawless background basically. I'll probably take my car down here this spring. There are also some very industrial looking sites around there too which would totally rule a picture. This place is a business so i'd probably tell the guard your intentions or act like me and say you're from a company they do business with...haha

I took a bunch of good pics of my car in the Metro park near my house. Found a perfect spot, it was up on a hill just off the road. There's a wooden fence in the background and some trees and stuff, it's a perfect country setup. Would be totally sweet spot in the fall when the trees are changing colors.

Hey Jason, I have taken some pictures over at the Henry Ford estate in Dearborn (Oh the Irony) There are some nice winding drives and some old horse stables with clean asphalt in front of them and it looks like a antique type of garage. Also the estate area itself is pretty classy looking with all kinds of backgrounds.
I'll see if I can find a pic of my old 84 Trans Am I took in front of the stables - I always got alot of compliments.

I took many Pictures at Hines park in plymouth during the summer and fall last year

(Which can be seen by clicking here)

Plans for spring-summer of 2003 are:

-Take a pic of my car on the top of the parking garage which is across from the GM rencen building, and have the Ren Cen as the background. But this is only usefull if you work for GM and have access to the parking garage.

-My other idea is to take a picture of just the runway of Airport at dusk in Canton, then take a pic of my car (since it's illegal to drive on a airport runway) and photoshop my car into the image, with the airport runway in the background.

That slightly-overhead shot you had of your car at the parking ramp was sweet! I wanted a hi-res version of it, but if I remember correctly, you lost the originals.

yeah. I resized them and uploaded both versions to a pic hosting site... and then they realized I had multiple accounts to get around their limits and they deleted one of my accounts... that being the one
