Exclamation Good news for you all, Good News for me and Very Bad news for me!

First test of the year is done. Here is the good news for you all:

MILAN HOOKS just like a 6 mile *****! What ever they put down in the field outside to get into the place, works... NO DUST!

I actually seen starting line people SPRAYING the line area! Sundays have ALWAYS hooked good for me there! Tons of slick tired cars.

Good news for me, ONE new personnel best a 1.52 sixty foot. All were in the low-mid 1.5X's.

Very Bad news for me... I have the same thing every other '94 owner has that goes to a monster converter... NO SHIFT, well, it does run 12.teens going from a series of bounce's off the rev limiter in first, into third on a fifty shot.

4 runs and only one went through all were three gears and lock-up. The rest of the time, I was just running a Dynaglide or so it seemed!

HR Hawk, I know you know the cure, it's a modulator change isn't it?? ANYONE??

One more thing... It helps to bring your nitrous jet guide to the track and not leave it at home in the tool box, but... I guess this is good as I probably would have ruined engine and trans, not realizing what was happening. Thought it was the trans fluid again like last year. I checked and added and the run after that was the ONE decent one.

Oh well... hoped you boyz faired better at the Stree Tire Shout.
Dang rebird pulled a 91.XX 1/8th mph NOT shifting on my only elimination pass!

Talking Holy Shmoly

Congrats on the PB. I wasnt particularly happy with the track friday night. I know I need some LCA Brackets and a longer burnout would have helped but the best I got all night was a 2.05. That was spraying right out of the hole,315/35/17 Nitto Drags spinning to the revlimiter and basically shortshifting second which isn't too safe to do. My best last year on smaller 275/40/17 Nitto's was 1.80... Come on Milan help me out here....

I need to go your route Kevin, install my converter and get a set of real tires. Wheels up nitrous launches would rock.

Yeah, there's lots of OBD1 guys with that no-shifting issue with big convertors. Hot Rod Hawk fixed it on his somehow.

At least your 60' times were decent.

Boy that new converter is really getting you off of the line.

I'm sure that Jeff will get ya fixed up. Then hang on.

Oh well... hoped you boyz faired better at the Stree Tire Shout.

Well after getting all nerved up and rolling in to set the pre stage and stage lights I red lighted. I realized what I did so I gave myself a second chance, yep I went and bought back in, And proceeded to go 5 rounds to collect my entry money back for making the quarter finals. My set up is working pretty well. Dead hooked all night with all 9 of my 60s from 1.678 to 1.701. Which I thought was excellent for a street tire night with temps falling to 44 degrees from 70 degrees early on.

I've seen files from some of the guys who claim to have fixed their shift problems. I just went to a 3200 myself and will probably have it too. Do you have LT1 edit or Tunercat?
I'll look up those files and e-mail them to you if you want. It seems like all they did was tell the computer to shift from first to second at 1mph at 95 and 100kpa (WOT) and let the rpm do the shifting. Theory is that the PCM needs an rpm and mph value to shift. So set the mph to 1mph and the computer waits for your rpm value. There is one guy I talked to that shared his file with me and he claims it worked for him.

I know that Ellis (Oneflynz or something like that) and a couple other people converted from OBD-I to OBD-II and it solved the problem.

I just got an e-mail from the guy and I'm sending it to you along with some conversation he had with his tuner. Hope it helps. OR..... I've heard of the vacuum modulator install OR if you have somewhere around 700 clams, TCI makes some kind of tranny controller. Talk to one of the guys over at LT1tech.com about the TCI.
